i was having the same problem...smae scenario. I was in fact running innerspace in windows xp compatibility mode ... changed the properties of my shortcut, launched innerspace and now everything works fine. Thanks for the help!

I've experienced the same pathing issue and have found using my mouse to force the toon to turn around works. I found that pressing movement buttons on the keyboard does not work.
