BJ Inventory. Is a guild hall required?

I craft and run ponies & goblins from my house with several toons.
I don't use my guild's hall for anything and I sell thru the marketboard in my house with all my toons.
I have a private little factory going on.

I'm especially interested in pricing, and handling ponies and goblins from my house.

While running a list for pricing tonight.. I saw this..
I don't understand what the "non guild hall prices" mean.

Item Number: 6 of 245
ItemName: Ornate Stiletto of the Sorcerer
OrderedItemName: Ornate Stiletto of the Sorcerer
BrokerItemMerchantValue: 856.799988 // BrokerItemMyPrice: 2000.000000
23:21:16: Unlisting Ornate Stiletto of the Sorcerer in order to price match.
BrokerItemBasePrice: 5500.000000 // BrokerItemCommisionPrice: 6600.000000 // BrokerItemComm
23:21:17: You are not in a guild hall and non-guild hall pricing hasn't been created yet.

I don't have to do this in the guild hall do I?

As of right now, you do need a guild hall. There's a reason that I coded it this way, but I can't remember off the top of my head why. I'm guessing that it has to do with the % broker commission fee. I'm hoping to be looking hard at all of the inventory code before the expansion, fixing some bugs and providing some new utility.

You may have misunderstood what I meant. Broker pricing is reliant on being in a guild hall right now. Pony and Goblin summoning only requires a guild hall if you want to place it in the depot or auto determine tier. If neither of those options is selected, it doesn't matter where you summon the pony or goblin.

I understand.. I have a house with all of the crafting stations and all depots. I have market boards all over the place and I have a running list of things that guildies want that I make during the days. Thank you Ogre Craft.. my carpel tunnel loves you :)

I have max skilled toons in most trades and very often during my day, I run lists of items for guildies.. and make things to put on the broker. I do techie work with a bunch of screens across my desks and I tend to have one screen running a queued list in Ogre Craft quite a bit during the day. Some people smoke or eat thru conference calls.. I craft.. in my house.. out of sight and private like.

A few nights a week, I run a few toons with Ogre.. with a few guildie friends and before logging at night, I dump my toons bags into assorted sales crates in my house then in the mornings.. price them out over coffee.. again.. in my house. That is where BJ Inventory would be a huge help to me.. if it worked in a house. I spend hours setting prices.. and I really don't enjoy that part.

I run a few ponies and goblins thru the day and again.. I'm sitting in a house with depots and toons working on crafting. I keep forgetting to empty them and send them back out.. I'm old.. we old people forget stuff. The only times I take some of my toons out of the house is to step outside to fill my shopping list at the broker. It would be very handy if I could quickly feed the broker a list of what I need and select the best prices.. then back to my house to stock depots and such.

I still EQ1 with MQ2 fairly often and my guild dates back to day one of EQ1 and EQ2. I've known some of these folks forever.. but fact is.. most of my guildies don't run any automation software.. and those of us that do.. in my guild.. we keep it out of the guild halls.. don't talk about it.. and go pretty far to stay under any radars. None of us have ever had an issue or problem and we all have fun.. so.. I would encourage anyone making tools to assist in game play to explore ways to maximize the more private ways to do things in game.. like in a player house.

These are just my personal views and opinions.. your mileage may vary :)

Thanks a bunch for your feedback. It is appreciated. If you can give me specific requests I can see what I can do to meet them. Personal housing is something that I have been meaning to make more available.

UPDATE...

A few nights a week, I run a few toons with Ogre.. with a few guildie friends and before logging at night, I dump my toons bags into assorted sales crates in my house then in the mornings.. price them out over coffee.. again.. in my house. The above will be included in my next Test Patch. Broker Actions are no longer restricted to the guild hall.

I run a few ponies and goblins thru the day and again.. I'm sitting in a house with depots and toons working on crafting. I keep forgetting to empty them and send them back out.. I'm old.. we old people forget stuff.
Ponies and goblins are already supported anywhere in Norrath. If you don't want to use it in a guild hall, turn off the option to deposit. I will look into adding the option to dump the items into the Personal Harvest Depot in the future.

The only times I take some of my toons out of the house is to step outside to fill my shopping list at the broker. It would be very handy if I could quickly feed the broker a list of what I need and select the best prices.. then back to my house to stock depots and such.
How would you want this work? In the next Test Patch, I have already greatly improved broker buying. Premade lists of commonly bought items is currently possible, but creating a list on the fly wouldn't be really quick. Your shopping lists, are they for making items for guildies or for keeping your broker stocked with your crafted items?
