Brigand Or Swash

I've been toying with both a brigand and a swashbuckler in a full-spec melee group and I can't determine if one is really that much better than the other. All things being equal, which is better to run in both a 6-group melee setup for both heroics as well as a 12-group raid setup?

There may not be a defining answer, I'm curious as to what others are using/have done, etc.

In my 12, I run a brig and a swash.

I've considered doing that as well and moving one to its own account. Right now I have a melee group and a OT/Mage group that consists of SK/Defiler/Fury/Illly/Warlock/Troub. That group needs some serious loving compared to my melee group. Can you PM me your group makeups Fl0pster so I can get an idea on what people are currently running.

What i Run now for 12 man.
(Group 1)
Zerker - or swap to a monk if a brawler needed.
Mystic
Warden
Coercer
Swash or Ranger dpending on dps/debuffage
Dirge

(Group 2)
Brigand or swap to SK if i need two tanks.
Mystic
Warden
Illy
Warlock
Troub

I typically shoot for a more defensive posture.

I'm thinking for moving my brigand to my OT group in place of my SK as well and putiting my ranger back in the MT group, although my swashy seems to do close to the same dps as the ranger. My other option would be another caster class for the mage group (I'm thinking Necro or Conju) which I'm thinking may suit that group better with buffs/stoneskin/extra rez, etc. I however, haven't ever really played any pet classes before although I've seen in some raids they are top 1-3 on parses.

Literally no point at all running 2 rogues instead of Brig + Ranger/Assassin.

If your swashy is beating your ranger, make your ranger better
