    This is a work in progress.



    I thought that having a thread devoted to the community giving tips on how to beat the various named encounters in this expansion would be useful. Feel free to post tips and I'll edit this post to include the information. Thank-you to all of you who contribute strats.

    Disclaimer: I have updated the main posts with a workable strategy. This doesn't mean that the strategy I posted is the only/best way to do it for YOUR unique setup. If you can't kill a mob using the strategy posted in the main section it is recommended that you read through the whole thread for further information, as alternative strategies/helpful hints are often contributed by other players.

    Construct of Souls

    Strat: Emotes red text and targets a toon. Massive Aoe damage. I group warded and no one died but health was knocked down low

    Bastion
    FYI: I believe you have to fight him in his room. Cannot pull out bc will not take damage
    AOE:
    Strat: There are two sets of pillars (Red / Blue) and a walkway between them. Depending on which set of pillars he is closest to they the color will count down. If it reaches bottom before he is dead BOOM (wipe). If you switch him to the other sets of pillars they will start going down and the other will go back up. If you have the DPS to get him down before the timer on one side runs down then just dps him down. Otherwise, you will have to move back and forth between the pillars. I camped my group in the middle of the bridge and moved him once from one set of pillars to the other.

    Strat: You wind up having to fight him 4 times. Once in middle room he starts and then once in each of three side rooms. When you get him down to ~30% he becomes non targettable and runs to another room. Starts with new health and different types of adds. All rooms have adds. Ignored them and targetted him. Final room has several clock works that he teleports around activating. Basically a Tank N Spank

    Oligar of the dead (Incomplete)

    Strat: He wound up killing me a few times while I figured out the start. Not certain that it will work but got him down to 20% last two times. Ran out of time and gear was busted so will pick up again and post final start. Basically, when you get him to approx 75% 2 golems in alcoves off of main room and one in center will pop. He no longer takes damage. Have to kill the center golem for him to take damage. I tried killing all golems but it did not appear to do anything. They will repop periodically and you have to kill center golem again for him to take damage. He mem wipes often and emotes red text. Whoever he annouces will basically die as it appear as though he places a large several ticking DOT. Was able to stay alive if targetted SK tank but had to use my death saves and ward.


    Drinal - Final named

    FYI: My healers/casters would not cast through ogre while platform was in motion, manually kept tank alive. At top once lift stopped everything went back to normal.

    AOE: Has a nasty health/pwr drain when you reach the top

    Strat: Tanked him where he stood, at 90% goes immune for a sec and ports you. Lift will start to go up and at 50% he will put up a shield going immune.
    At reaching the top and his shield dropped, I hit bladedance which seemed to prevent the massive pwr/health drain on the group. He'll start to pop adds that hit hard. Get aggro quick... He also red texts and you get the frontal red cone, simply move your tank out of it until it goes off, he'll stay facing the same way. The adds have massive amounts of HP's so stay on named and after you look the chest evac! Got a pretty cool mount my first time.

    Strat: If you do not destroy the two Idols first, he has a damage shield which I was unable to overcome. If you destroy the two idols, he is a simple Tank N Spank.

    Barrodas
    FYI: Kill all shiverbacks before fighting him as they will all come to his assistance
    AOE:
    Strat: Tank N Spank. At around ~20 health he enrages and heals to approx 50% health. His DPS increases noticeably at this point but still a Tank N Spank.

    Phobis
    FYI:
    AOE: Goop Spray (strength/attack speed reduction, poison DoT) and Slime Skin (damage shield with chance for AoE interrupt).
    Strat: Typical Tank N Spank. Need to keep tank in range of him otherwise he summons adds quite rapidly. They do not produce significant dps but at some point might overwhelm you. HE will also tp around the room just to keep things interesting. Non Tanks should joust the red text else they will die.

    Venekor
    FYI: Kill all eye balls (wretches) otherwise they will add in on this fight.
    AOE:
    Strat: Tank N Spank

    Venekor the Fear-Touched [Challenge]
    FYI: Clear trash, let Kilkilarus complete his ritual, wait off the platform, Venekor has large aggro range

    Krelgrek the Mortified [Challenge]
    FYI: Curse which stops hostile & small dmg tick. 2 Big add waves, one on spawn, one around 30%.
    AOE: Small knockup on tank, easily managable
    Strat: Pretty much Tank n Spank with brawler, control add frontals and succeed. Curse is not an issue, if left uncured just slows dps.

    Red Circles are back! They are same as EM SS though ;)
    After killing constructs, spirit core spawns and travels to nearest construct, buffs them
    Keep orbs for Frost.


    This zone was super fun to figure out, I highly recommend working on this zone before reading this!

    Commander Vazkurlack Primescale
    FYI: Trash comes with name
    AOE: Knockback
    Strat: Places trap on someone, if you stay on it, it will knock everyone near it around the room.

    Frost
    FYI: Need Globule of Mass Deceleration to make pillar attackable and remove Frost's buffs. (Player interrupts work but bug the pillars, causing Frost to be unkillable)
    AOE: Pile Driver -Knockback
    Strat: Tank him where he stands, when he emotes for Pile Driver, use the Globule to interrupt him, this will destabilise a random pillar, allowing it to be killed.
    You only need to kill Avoidance or Defense Pillars for Frost to become damageable. The other 2 just increase his damage.

    Pyre
    FYI:
    AOE: N/A
    Strat: Tank n Spank, adds spawn from pillars, Juggernaught gives him Melee damage reduction, Construct gives him magical damage reduction.

    Eternal Sentinel
    FYI: PITA, Mem wipes 24/7
    AOE: N/A
    Strat: The small gargoyles heal the name, they also knockback if you go within melee range. To destroy them and make them killable, you need to run the name over them when he charges. If he hits them, they will glow red and you keep the name near them until they die. After you kill 6-8 you should be able to kill the name.

    The Forgotten Statue
    FYI: Gains buffs, red or blue, which heal him and give him damage reduction, use opposite pillar to dispell. Blue buff is 75% DR and 5% hp heal every 3s, red is 75% DR and 1 weapon damage bonus.
    AOE: KB before first buff.
    Strat: Start off the pedestal, after first buff place him where he spawns. Leave group on him and designate one toon to run around clicking pillars. When all 4 pillars are the same colour they activate and dispell the buff, Ihad to do this multiple times, but name does no damage, just depends how quickly you can active the correct colours to determine how long the fight will be. If you have low dps, i would use multiple toons on pillars because if you take too long on Blue, he will heal up to 100%. Also when are activated they apply a DoT on the group, after I dispelled, I changed a pillar to remove it but it doesn't hit hard.

    Strat: appears to be final boss of zone. Has a nasty knockback so be sure to put your back up against something. Summons an add every few minutes then starting at 50% the adds come in 3s. I grabbed the adds and Dps'd them down before going back to the named. Was a long fight b/c of that but i did not have a full two groups.

    Strat:
    When enganged, starts a ring event. You will be attacked 1 by 1 by "a grotto urchin", when one of these die, the group member who get the kill shot will be kicked back and up in the air to the edges of the room. Around the edge of the room, are beams of light which create a shield round named. There are clickable and will remove the shield from the named.
    Once shield is down, named will engage. After killing a certain %, she will disappear and set an add on you, "a possessed Combine soldier", kill that, she will come back, kill another %, disappears and 2 adds, kill, named, 3 adds, kill, named, Dead.

    Named 2:
    A Coral Construct
    Pull the named, it will continually heal throughout the fight, around the room are 5 "a siren summoner", position tank ontop of those, you get encased in Coral, which will then make the summoner killable. Rinse and repeat 5x, done.

    Named 3:
    Mistress Mallora/Allura
    Both nameds are linked, and don't do alot apart from port randomly around the zone. Can just burn whichever is closest. Will put a weird movement buff on you, so when you take 1 step forwards, you take 3 sideways. Basically tank and spank.

    Named 4:
    Volot
    Strat:
    Spawns back where the coral construct was.
    After a certain time in the fight, it will spawn a wave of adds, followed by another wave, and another wave, and a final 4th wave. You won't really kill all these adds, but if you take named down further you progress to part 2 of script, so advisable to stay on adds. After 4th wave of adds, they depop and you go back to named. Once mob reaches a certain % (25 I think it was), it will pin a random group member to the floor (Toon unusable), and port the other 5 of group back to entrance. You must then run back to the named as soon as possible to free the healer. You get incombat speed buffs, but still need to run quick. Once you get there, named is killable.

    Named 5:
    Queen Dulseris
    Strat:
    Throughout the fight, she will put an uncurable elemental on one group member, which will radiate a fear to anybody within 20m of that person. This person must joust away from everyone in group. (Not AE avoidable)
    Mutiple stages to this fight. When pulled, you are able to kill her for a certain time period, until she encases herself in Coral, and pops 3 Sirens. You must kill the Coral to go to next stage. It is useful to kill 2 out of 3 of the sirens first, but if you kill all 3, another 3 will pop. Once Coral is dead, named can then be killed again, once it drops down again, it will start putting giant water spouts around the room, standing in these is massive damage so need to avoid those. When she reaches 10% or so, she will disappear and pop 3 Tavalan adds. Once these are dead, the fight is done.



    SG: The Tavalan Abyss (Challenge Mode)

    NOTE: EASY MODE IS SIMILAR TO CHALLENGE MODE, BUT WITH LESS EFFECTS.

    Named 1:
    Mindscorcher Shelik -
    Strat:
    Named hits quite hard, and frequently throughout the fight pops adds with nasty AE auto. ("Soulscorcher"). None of the adds memwipe, and if DPS is high you can ignore them and burn named. Was a 2 min kill with 2.7mil dps.
    Red text warning on 1 Player in group, who must joust 10m+ away from the named for a period of time. No detrimental or effect, but waiting 10s after red text each time was more than enough for me. If this person doesn't joust, you take huge focus damage.

    Named 2:
    Cartis, Daklani, Farinu, Baritum - The Warcouncil
    Strat:
    5seconds after pulling, each of the 4 mobs will pick a specific archetype with an emote. They will gain a title under their name. You need to kill the Vicar first (Or he just heals the others back up), followed by the Heretic. The Vicar will heal, the Heretic will cast quite a nasty arcane AE detaunt. One of them appears to memwipe occasionally, but doesn't really do much else, and the final one seemed to do nothing at all. All have moderate levels of AE auto attack, so position them well, and just burn Vicar, Heretic, Other 2.

    Named 3:
    Kira the Temptress:
    Strat:
    For first 75% its a tank and spank fight. Named has a rather large knockback, which will also bring giant tentacles out of the ground and hit random people, but with heals/chanter, its pretty negligible. At 25%, she will bring the two creatures out of the cages (Otyug the Noxious, and Baraki the Abominable), neither one does much, but named is highly damage reductioned while they are up. Kill the adds, then named, and enjoy loot.

    Named 4:
    Queen Dulseris:
    Strat:
    There are 3 shells when you enter the room. When she reaches a certain % (May be time based, first pulled it anyway), there will be a red text about the barrier being dispelled and to find a way to put it back up. Need to click all 3 shells (1 toon can do all 3 if quick, or just position well to do all 3 at once). This will stop a fail condition epic x4 add. The named is then tank and spank, and will occasionally drop 1 of the 3 barriers, and give you a red text saying a group member must find a way to get the barrier back up, just click the active shell with that toon. Kill named, rinse and repeat, enjoy loot.

    Named 5:
    Overlord Talan:
    Strat:
    Throughout the fight the named will cast a curse upon a group member. This person must get away from named (and any adds) by atleast 10m+ until expires. If fails to do so, you take massive focus damage on an infinite duration.
    Named will pop a doppleganger throughout the fight, which must be moved away from the named and burnt. The named WILL root, so moving it isnt too bad, but the cursed person must stay away from the add too.
    Dopplegangers pop quite often, so its a heavy DPS check. 2 Dopplegangers up is basically a fail effect.

    This zone was super fun to figure out, I highly recommend working on this zone before reading this!

    FYI: Need Globule of Mass Deceleration to make pillar attackable and remove Frost's buffs. (Player interrupts work but bug the pillars, causing Frost to be unkillable)
    AOE: Pile Driver -Knockback
    Strat: Tank him where he stands, when he emotes for Pile Driver, use the Globule to interrupt him, this will destabilise a random pillar, allowing it to be killed.
    You only need to kill Avoidance or Defense Pillars for Frost to become damageable. The other 2 just increase his damage.

    Strat: Tank n Spank, adds spawn from pillars, Juggernaught gives him Melee damage reduction, Construct gives him magical damage reduction.

    Strat: The small gargoyles heal the name, they also knockback if you go within melee range. To destroy them and make them killable, you need to run the name over them when he charges. If he hits them, they will glow red and you keep the name near them until they die. After you kill 6-8 you should be able to kill the name.

    The Forgotten Statue
    FYI: Gains buffs, red or blue, which heal him and give him damage reduction, use opposite pillar to dispell. Blue buff is 75% DR and 5% hp heal every 3s, red is 75% DR and 1 weapon damage bonus.
    AOE: KB before first buff.
    Strat: Start off the pedestal, after first buff place him where he spawns. Leave group on him and designate one toon to run around clicking pillars. When all 4 pillars are the same colour they activate and dispell the buff, Ihad to do this multiple times, but name does no damage, just depends how quickly you can active the correct colours to determine how long the fight will be. If you have low dps, i would use multiple toons on pillars because if you take too long on Blue, he will heal up to 100%. Also when are activated they apply a DoT on the group, after I dispelled, I changed a pillar to remove it but it doesn't hit hard.

    I have the same feeling. I am trying to find the farming zones. The CM bosses drop some nice stuff but there are not enough of them. The faction gear right now looks about a good as it gets which would mark a strange change from SoE. Basically, the faction gear can be gotten by anyone that completes the quest line and runs the instance to get the marks to trade in for it. Would really suck for us as would mean that have to do that long ass quest line with all our toons.

    Strat: There are two sets of pillars (Red / Blue) and a walkway between them. Depending on which set of pillars he is closest to they the color will count down. If it reaches bottom before he is dead BOOM (wipe). If you switch him to the other sets of pillars they will start going down and the other will go back up. If you have the DPS to get him down before the timer on one side runs down then just dps him down. Otherwise, you will have to move back and forth between the pillars. I camped my group in the middle of the bridge and moved him once from one set of pillars to the other.

    Strat: He wound up killing me a few times while I figured out the start. Not certain that it will work but got him down to 20% last two times. Ran out of time and gear was busted so will pick up again and post final start. Basically, when you get him to approx 75% 2 golems in alcoves off of main room and one in center will pop. He no longer takes damage. Have to kill the center golem for him to take damage. I tried killing all golems but it did not appear to do anything. They will repop periodically and you have to kill center golem again for him to take damage. He mem wipes often and emotes red text. Whoever he annouces will basically die as it appear as though he places a large several ticking DOT. Was able to stay alive if targetted SK tank but had to use my death saves and ward.

    Perhaps there is some other strategy with other two golems that i have not figured out yet.

    I killed all three golems in the first round. When they respawned, I killed only two which gave him a death touch on whomever he red texted. I just ate the deaths - the other two golems didn't respawn - and we repaired afterward.

    As for Drinal - I quit. Up the elevator shaft we went. I got him to 49% - he put up a shield until we were at the top - then he spawned these adds that hit like trucks and finished us.

    Out of curiousity, are you seeing that most of the gear is maybe only a very modest upgrade of SS CM gear an not over raid gear? I am really thinking either the itemization is borked and will need to be changed OR they are pushing everyone into the faction merchant route. About the only really nice gear that I have found thus far is off of the HM Temple of the Faceless mob.

    FYI: My healers/casters would not cast through ogre while platform was in motion, manually kept tank alive. At top once lift stopped everything went back to normal.

    AOE: Has a nasty health/pwr drain when you reach the top

    Strat: Tanked him where he stood, at 90% goes immune for a sec and ports you. Lift will start to go up and at 50% he will put up a shield going immune.
    At reaching the top and his shield dropped, I hit bladedance which seemed to prevent the massive pwr/health drain on the group. He'll start to pop adds that hit hard. Get aggro quick... He also red texts and you get the frontal red cone, simply move your tank out of it until it goes off, he'll stay facing the same way. The adds have massive amounts of HP's so stay on named and after you look the chest evac! Got a pretty cool mount my first time.

    • Ignore CAs Range - There are objects in EQ2 that do not play well with bots. Generally speaking, moving objects, like elevators etc. If you try to fight while on them, and the NPC is on solid ground, the bot believes the mob is across the zone and won't cast. #1 recommendation: Get off the movable object. If that isn't possible, use this. Note: Causes some spells to misbehave.
    • Ignore Beneficial AE range - Same use as Ignore CAs Range but ignores group spells (such as group wards/heals). See recommendations for Ignore CAs Range.

    This still bugs out for me now. I have done it with an SK and an Inquisitor Merc on the Solo instance Just auto attack until the AE starts when I click the Globule. I switch the to pillar and auto attack and nothing. I have made all 4 pillars unstable and attacked them all and he still don't die. I have tired just spells, and ranged weapons as well on more than one attempt. I had another person walk me through how they did it before step by step. They are stumped as I am.

    *EDIT FOR ADDED INFO* I finally got it completed. I got it to let me take out the pillar with out the pillar being bugged when I turned assist off on the merc. When I engaged the pillar this time it actually showed a health pct in the target and not just the name of the pillar. Also I only had the avoidance pillar down due to my testing eating the globule clickies up. He went down with just avoidance dropped.

    If your having problems with a solo instance or you need multiple toons to be "flagged" in an instance you can bring in more than 2 people in several of the solo instances.

    There are a few solo instances that will punt out extra players (more than 2). You can zone a group into a solo instance; get the kill within 10 seconds and they get the "flag" and then ported out.

    I can only assume omre than one dev worked on the signature quest line, or a psychopath. Some parts are group friendly(shared updates and all that) and some seem pathologically anti-group(ruby part is the main one that comes to mind).

    Yeah, i like the amount of content and the variety but the level of difficulty is too low and the loot is basically the same stat level as before. All in all, I do like some of the changes in the expac (adorn removers / green adorns). I really dont see any reasonable place to farm anything whether for gear or plat. Really pushing the faction merchant idea for the better gear in this expac. I mean who will buy a 160 earring when they can run the quest line and a few pick up groups and get 170-180 gear?

    The quest line gear is 130 -140
    The heroic instances are 160 range
    The faction merchant stuff is 175-185 range

    The CM mobs in the heroic instances ( 3 total in the 9 instances) drop raid gear with the red slot at around 190 range. Also, the trash mobs in the true raid zones can drop raid gear in the same 190 range.

    Really, the best way to gear up alts is to run the MASSIVE quest line and run the instances for the currency to buy faction gear. Plus the occasionally CM boss in the 3 zones that have CM bosses. I think that is what I am going to do but have been resistant because of the size of that quest line and it being an overland zone means no botting..

    They have essentially flipped the best way to gear from SS. Plus no real way that I have found to reliably farm plat with sell runs. Although if there is no gear to buy why do you need plat except to buy Krono?

    I really hate quests, that being said, the merchant gear is better than any of the instance gear. I'll have to run the rest of my A-team through the quests, the rate at which the currency drops needed for merchant gear is dismal. Hell the only place Obols seem to drop for me is in Harrow's end. I'm lucky to get 2 maybe 3 per run and that's with clearing every mob in the zone so gearing them up that way will take some time. I'm already clearing all the group content so what do I need it for?

    The best place I have found for Obol is the raid zones trash mobs. They all drop at least one and sometimes they will drop 2.

    I am finding the heroic boss specific token harder to get. I must have killed Tempest of Zek 5 times and have not got a single token.

    He roots himself when he emotes the red text and its joustable. All I did was set up a camp spot at the top of the stairs, tanked him where he stood, jousted on the red text if the golems were not up yet. If they were I simply moved to one of the others and starting killing them. Easy as pie.

    I have read the walk through for Frost in ST. For some reason I can not get him past 97%. I have done it with killing only two pillars and then trying all four. The orbs that are on top of the pillars that heal him are remaining active. I have reported it as a bug but this happens everytime I run the zone, so figuring it is me and not the script. Any help would be nice. ie..am I not doing something leading up to the fight.

    Double check your toons and make sure youre not casting interrupts. If you use a player based interrupt instead of the orb then it will bug the encounter. Known issue at this point and it might get fixed sometime next week.

    The walk-thru for Throne of Fear seems to be missing a piece of imformation for healers when fighting The Planar Manifestation. I have tried like 20 times (no joke) to come up with a way of avoiding having my healer ported to the platform where the sub-boss is standing with very bad results. Nothing seems to work. My group make-up is Monk/Inq/troub/brig/mystic and sometimes I will throw in the epic mercs Kenny/Matri depending on how quickly I am looking to finish up the zone. No other toon but the healer gets ported ro the platform. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    AOE: Goop Spray (strength/attack speed reduction, poison DoT) and Slime Skin (damage shield with chance for AoE interrupt).
    Strat: Keep someone in range of him at all times otherwise he'll summon extra adds. Periodically ports into the middle of the room, summons adds and goes immune. Adds have to be killed before Phobis can be attacked again.

    He doesn't red text anymore as best I can tell.

    Strat: Put tank in the middle and make a 3 point joust(or put everyone else on autofolow/shadow on another character and manually run them). Each time a rift pops, move to the next joust point. The adds move slowly and if you get far away enough from the rift they stop spawning(but you'll inevitably have 6 up eventually). You basically need to avoid having too many of the adds near the group, as they cast an AE each that hits for 10-20k and it triggers fairly often.

    Mrelgt the All-Tender [Challenge]
    FYI: Reactive knockup, Adds, Curse
    AOE: Casts an uncurable % HP ticking curse that can't be cured when converting to CM version(however it can be AE avoided by everyone in the group except the tank), and has a "cluster bomb" style AE in a ~30m radius around him that can sometimes hit the group
    Strat: Spawns snake adds that have a ~25m 10-20k physical AE which adds up quickly as you have more of them up. You need ~1million DPS just to keep up with the adds and the named heals, so anything less than 1.5million DPS is unlikely to get anywhere with this fight. If you have the DPS/survivability, straight burn the name. Otherwise you can attempt to range the fight with everyone except the tank, allowing adds to build up while burning the named. When you have ~12 adds up, switch over and burn them down until you are back to ~2 then switch back to the named. Expect a long fight.

    Strat: Goes immune at 75%, 50%, 25%, summonds 3 adds and wanders over to one of the crystals and heals back up to full. Doesn't seem to be a way to stop the heal, so it's a boring 3 minute fight.

    Oligar of the dead (Incomplete)

    Strat: When he announces, joust ~15m away from him. When the golems spawn, kill the Harnessed golem to drop his DR by 50%. Killing the other two golems doesn't appear to do anything(he seems to have a 50% DR up permanenetly after golem spawn). Memwipes regularly and while he has 100% DR up snaps don't seem to work properly. Depending on gear level, expect to have random group members die.


    Drinal - Final named

    FYI: Has a dispellable effect which is either a spell reflect or does something bad if you have the buff from the questline cloak on you
    AOE: None worth mentioning.
    Strat: Tank'n'Spank to 50%. He'll go immune briefly at 90% and port you to another pad, after that burn him to 50% at which point he goes immune again and the pad starts to move. When it gets to the top he activates again and gets a new AE(red text, frontal cone, joust out of it including the tank), a curse which needs to be cured and will summon adds periodically. Adds depop at the end of the fight.

    Has anyone else been having difficulty with the Necromunger guy in Wurmbone's End?
    He and his adds are destroying me.

    I've tried setting 4 camp spots around the top area where he stays, and that didn't work. I tried having everyone on super close O-follow and just kiting him down the path, and while that was more successful, it still didn't work.
    Does his strat really just consist of running away from the adds? I've even had CC on with everyone casting their roots so the adds move even slower.

    My group is not the BEST in terms of gear, and I am running solo heals with an Inq, but I've been able to tackle everything else I've tried. However.. this guy.. seriously.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    4 campspots along the top won't give you enough distance. You need a minimum of ~15m between each campspot ideally.

    I have been having issues as well. I back up about 30-40m dps him and when I get him to the stairs near the circle platform, hps are near 50%, he roots my group and we get killed very quickly by the adds. I run with a SK/INQ/Mystic/Dirge/Sin/Illy and can run about 600-700K dps on named in WE. This named mob for some reason has my number.

    Yes, pay attention to which character has the debuff(it's a non-curable icon in the group window, probably curse IIRC, or a blue icon in the characters detrimental window) and move them away from the group.

    I must admit that this guys is still just owning me , healers kick aout 40k HPS but still cant keep the grp alive.
    Tried manually jousting around the tank to get the adds to leave the grp alone but no luck.

    Would appreciate a slightly more detailed strat if someone could take the time please.

    I noticed on the way to the top of the platform that orge automatically spreads out your toons for you. This most likely was coded into the script to allow the adds a straight line of sight as well as allowing you room to keep the powerdrain from spreading. As far as dpsing the name goes, just stay in the positon that orge sets but move in closer for auto-attack triggers and watch for which toon gets the power drain to pull them away from the group.

    Not sure if we are talking about the same named here

    Necromunger Garrkk and his rift adds are just swarming me to death. I have tried keeping the grp at max range as well, but then pull the adds off the grp is a fulltime job because AOEs dont reach them.
    Was hoping there was a solid way to deal with the adds.

    Healing through it and just burning the named is not working for me, and manual jousting is proving a problem with healers on the move can heal the tank and once the tank as 6 or more adds then it requires focused unmoving healers to keep the tank alive. Just a bit lost for words ....

    I went into adv solo. and did it with 2 grp members at a time and that was fairly easy, but the heroic just has me stumped.

    If your tank can't survive while moving the healers you're undergeared or you are running around in flurry gear(in which case you deserve to fail).

    Thanks so much for the clear explination, i have not thought of the triangle joust - that way the adds will stick tothe tank and drop off the healers.
    How do you get every one to follow you so quickly and closely? Setup everyone to follow the jousting healer and then ogre follow and a few taps of the ofollow--- button ??
