Have an option in the UI for type of pet buff - defensive or offensive.
When you solo you sometimes want your pet to have that tougher skin

EQ2Bot handles offensive and deffensive stance not the class scripts . As a work around select your pet to be the main tank. it will put the pet in defensive stance. Selecting yourself as the maintank will put it in offensive stance.
