Craft Faction Bot

searched for this and was not successful. but thankfully was shown that here must be the right place to post by dj

For factioning purposes is it possible to have craftbot just do one combine from sets and batches and return to the taskmaster to 'complete' the WO's? this would still give the faction hit and I don't care about xp or items really.

I know this may run counter intuitive but all I want for now is the faction... the bot runs awsome as it is for me otherwise.

thank you for a great help and carpel tunnel alternative.

me too, but I've asked Xeon directly if this was something he planned to implement and he had said no.

I hope he changes his mind at some point, this is the only major feature I can think of that I'd personally really like to see added.

I doubt XeonX is "against" this feature, so much as just doesn't feel like bothering. I understand that this was his first major scripting project (and all the more impressive, for that) but you reach a point where you've learned all you can and just want to stamp the code "completed" and stuff it in the outgoing bin for somebody else to deal with. I hear his combat bot's becoming pretty darn spiffy.

This situation's a bit better than isxeq2's craftbot where, although probably the most widely-used script in the community, the source is closed and hasn't seen an update for months since the author moved on to greener pastures.

Your needs seem relatively simple, and I wish I could take up the gauntlet myself, but I've got too much on my plate and haven't taken the time to learn VG's crafting system. Maybe some/one of you should take this valuable opportunity to learn a bit of scripting yourselves. XeonX is on IRC quite frequently and seems a bit less surly than the rest of us when it comes to answering questions about his code, and even the grumpiest among us regulars don't mind helping people learn providing you're not a total tool and can read some documentation for yourself without having to be led by the nose.

If you want faction, I highly suggest you do finishing and set to singles only, trivial through moderate, and UNCHECK get harder work orders first. Refining just doesnt have enough w/o's to support this method.

Also keep in mind, you kinda share w/o slots with others in your area, the more ppl there are crafting, the less w/o's there will be to choose from. Stick to less congested areas/times.

At least for Carpenters, in an area that I am the only one doing wo's, there are only 3-4 singles. :( Not enough for just singles. I may look into converting this to factioning, though not 100% sure.

I believe this is already in vgcraftbot right now, its just not publicly released untill Xeon has the updated mapping code. Check the last 3 pages of the vgcraftbot post above.
