[Craft] Ui Problems.

I did a search through the forums and did not see this topic, but periodicly while using CRAFT, the ui boxes for hotbars, chatboxes, etc... all go black and are just left with the borders (same goes for chat boxes with text).

Closing out the CRAFT window will bring everything back to normal, but then a few seconds later it will do the same thing, and I will have to reload the original everquest2.exe for it to work correctly (not using isx).

Reload the feb 16th (and have tried 19th) everquest2.exe and it works great for awhile, then does the same thing.

Any suggestions?

So what you are saying is this happens when not using isxeq2. Sounds like either an IS issue, EQ2 issue, or the more likely, a your computer issue. You running the latest drivers for your videocard?

No while I am running isxeq2 it does this. Once I reload the non isx everquest2.exe everything works fine.

While using the feb 16th or 19th everquest2.exe what I reported in the first post happens.

Once you remove one of the 2 variables that are only the isx everquest2.exe (16th or 19th) does the problem go away.

how is it possible to use isxeq2 with the feb 19th everquest2.exe?

Edit: Really there are 3 variables. Everquest, isx (which would stand for innerspace extension, in this case isxeq2) and IS (which stands for innerspace).

Its just the 2 I tried to use, those being the only 2 variables I changed.

Feb 16th everquest2.exe should work correctly? If so back to my original question, does anyone know of any issues that would cause that problem.

i've been having this problem for a couple weeks and i know of at least a couple other people having the issue too.

unload/reload isxeq2 doesnt fix it. a full reload of IS/EQ2/ISXEQ2 is required. it happens on 2 machines here, 7/x64 and 7/x86.

it's not video drivers, one of the boxes is nvidia, one is ati. all run latest video drivers regardless.

this is what i was talking about earlier (on irc) hendrix.

the ui windows lose all text, fps drops to shit (0-5), the console loses text too (why i think it might be IS related, shrug).

edit to clarify its lavish gui windows that lose text, NOT eq2 ui windows.

I guess what I am trying to get out of you is, You used the everquest2.exe from the 19th. That means you did not have the extension loaded but you were still using innerspace right?

Initially I used the 19th, then used the 16th and the ext was loaded and worked as I stated in my first post.

So yes, it will not work with the 19th but with the 16th it should and it should not have the problems as stated in the first post?

If you change the everquest2.exe to infact the working .exe what does it matter if you initially used the wrong one, but are having these UI problems with the correct one?

Sorry, just don't see where this is going.

So actually I don't even have to run craft, 30 minutes or so in game, it does what i describe in the first post.

It's the memory problem various of us are currently having....try with the Innerspace memory used counter showing while playing.

yea when that whole thread started i wondered, but i've only ever experienced this crafting -- and i dont run eq2 without is&isxeq2, so.. boxing instances, leveling (lately), even raiding i always have is/isxeq2 loaded and something or other running. only ever have the issue happen w/craft, shrug.

Is there a fix for this? I should say I wasn't using craft but ISXEQ2 was loaded, and after about 30 minutes it did this.
