Crashing bug after User and PW entered

Don't want to cause trouble but here are my findings...I was getting this error on my Windows XP laptop, but not on my Vista Desktop PC.

Downloaded the new version of IS - crash kept happening
Downloaded the service pack for .Net 3.5 - crash kept happening

Deleted everquest2.exe
Ran the Eq2 Patcher updated
Ran a full scan
Copied over the 200904132116-EverQuest2.exe from Twonk.
Rebooted the PC

Problem Solved....not saying this will work for everyone but it did for me so I wanted to share.

I bet that's the particular thing that fixed it, tbh. I had EQ2 crashing immediately on launch through IS, restarted IS and the crash went away. Odds are there was some DLL injected that was causing issues, reboot/restart of software fixed the issue.

While I completely respect ya Val.....

I rebooted the PC a few times before that...before I started to diagnose the issue...it didn't help.

I honestly don't know what part I did that fixed it...but I just listed it in order of what I did and by the last step...EQ2 loaded on this PC =)

I just hopeit helps the other two guys that are having the same issue and I wanted to let them know it is NOT an ISXEQ2 issue or and IS issue...as I have ISXEQ2 on autoload and it loads and has no errors...its an eq2 issue not IS or ISX...I just wanted to share my findings =)

P.S I love you Val....your work on craft and your help with people is amazing.
