EQ2 Client Application has stopped working

On one of my computers whenever I camp to desktop or exit the game I get the message that EQ2 Client Application has stopped working. It's really more of a nuisance than anything else since I only get these messages when I'm done playing and exit the game but when there are 12 of these messages popping up it can be kind of obnoxious!

Would it be helpful at all to copy/paste the problem details from the crash here? This error doesn't occur on my other computer. Both are running Windows 7.

I have the same thing. I run ISX on three computers. My oldest computer started doing this a few weeks ago (a month or two maybe) and it's silly. Doesn't happen on the other two. I have no idea what changed.

This is happening to me on both computers and it is happening at start up since the patch. I can no longer log into EQ2 without everything crashing before the splash screen. I've been talking with SOE support and so far they haven't been able to figure out what is broken. I'll keep you posted on my results.

Had guild members with similar issues when messing around with Beta, and something thats worth a try:
We found that a lot of people were missing Directx 9, which is required for EQ2 to launch properly. We found people who had copied their EQ2 directories over had no issues, but if they changed a couple of files, or tried via Beta etc, it wouldn't work for them. If you are using a relatively new PC that isn't likely to have Directx 9, give that a go.

Was an issue for a few guildies a while back, may not be the same problem, but worth a shot if it is.

After 4 hours of SOE tech support it turns out that my eq2.ini file had become corrupted and was causing the crash.
