Forced Patch 8-26-2009

There is, today, an occurrence that has happened twice in the history of EQ2.

Today, the wonderful developers at SOE changed the client/server protocol enough to cause the client to be unable to log in a character, but did NOT change the client/server version numbers.

Effectively, this forces us to patch to be able to log in, even though the game has not "forced" us to patch.

Please patch your EverQuest2 and wait patiently for an ISXEQ2 update. Estimated downtime for this update: 12-24 hours.

I'm optimistic about the area where it breaks though. It seems like it hangs right where it used to occasionally get stuck on when zoning. Perhaps they fixed a bug causing that annoying problem?

Rofl, no.

What I mean is, when Sony have an issue (for example) If you noticed in the last couple of weeks, zoning was HORRIBLE. They never gave us any info on that, 3 weeks later they did though.

Isxgames gave us info within 10 minutes of the sony patch rofl
