Have group makeup & configuration question

So currently I am running: Monk, coercer, inquis, mystic, dirge, assassin. All level 90 and right around 200 AA now (dirge & mystic 280+).

I have just bought all the subs needed to run Ogre and am just basically getting started setting up the windows in ISBoxer. Brand spanking new starting out, will probably start in SF instances (managed to clear Library & Research Halls just winging it with no help, faceplanted in palace on the 4 named encounter).

Anyway, my questions to the experienced users here:

I have an extra brigand 90/200 w/many masters on the coercer account. In your guys' opinion, would it be better for me to move her to the assassin account and and just replace the assassin? Or perhaps move her to the mystic or inq account and use her to help clear the easier stuff .. (if so, which healer should I run with in this situation?). I could even move her to the assassin account (and use her as the "main" instead of the ass) and move the assassin to one of the healer accounts (hell its only 25 bucks to move a toon now). And subsequently use him as the trash cleaner/helper. What I'm thinking is the brigand might not do the extreme dps of the assassin but might help more with overall dps of my melee-centric group. And also help out more in raid settings. Another option is I could betray her to swashie (for more AOE hate control, heard monks lack a positional AOE hate taunt).

Next question: What do you guys suggest I run with as my "MAIN", IE which toon should *I* be playing while the software handles the others? I've heard some use their best dps toon, some use healers. I could even use the coercer for ultimate power control and mezzing, but I don't know if this is feasible if the tank will just break the mezzes anyway. I gotta say I do like the idea of packing AA's into mez and really trivializing group encounters & adds by keeping things asleep.

Also I should mention I have a 90/300 zerk on the monk account (he was my original "MAIN"). I heard some of the tougher instances in DOV require a 2 tank setup so I have him on standby ready to move into another account if/when needed.

This is almost my exact group setup. Only difference is I run a bruiser and defiler instead of the monk and mystic. Though I used to run a mystic as well. The mystic did do just fine until I started doing the harder Kael instances and Drunder, then I betrayed to Defiler for extra healing power. However I do feel that I would have been fine with the Mystic if I had spent a little more time on aa and had access to at least EM raid gear.

I would say work on aa especially. 200 is a bit low, even for SF instances (at least for a boxer). Replacing the assassin with the brig might be an option, I see a lot of people on the forums using a brig or swash for their dps class with success. Personally I see that as personal preference. Assassin has worked just fine for me so far. On the idea of replacing a healer with the brig for easy stuff I can't say that farming easy content is any slower with 2 healers. I have a profile for the inquisitor for full dps only for when I only need 1 healer. As for 2 tanks, I haven't seen anything yet up to Drunder that required a 2 tank setup.

As for what class to play primarily, I would say the tank unless you find a particular fight needs a lot of something. I.E. heavy mez fights I run the coercer. If healing is an issue I run a healer.

Thx for the advice, I really appreciate it, eclipsed. Do you mind a PM every now and then for advice, since we're basically running near-identical groups? (promise it won't be excessive). I'm on GUK btw.

So I get that you use your shaman as your main healer while the Inq provides backup healing/dps whichever is needed. This sounds like a feasible way to handle things, and it also means 1 less toon i need to gear up, plus all the scouts fighting over gear would be double-suck.

Just curious, do you prefer your assassin using damage based poisons or do you
use the attribute debuffers?

Feel free to PM, and I'll be glad to answer if I can. I won't profess to be an expert however I am constantly learning new things myself.

You are correct on the healers, my inq is always dps focused but setup to roll reactives and provide backup healing and cures. Shaman is main healer. It works out pretty well.

As for poisons there is no need to choose between those types. Red are damage, purple are attribute debuffs, blue are utility. You can use all 3 types at once. I use hemotoxin for red (with full hemo aa's), gracelessness for purple, and turgur for blue.
