How do you determine the best casting order?

I am stuck on trying to get one of my toons to get a better parse. I just dont think the method i use is working to get him a better casting order. Any tips on how to use act or another application to determine casting order. Then I can tweak the aa tree's to improve the parse based on the abilities used.

Right now it is a warlock in almost full raid gear that has a hard time parsing 300k on solo mobs.

Make a spread sheet.

Me, I just look at eq2flames parse threads and check what the most used/dmg spell is and put them at the top of my CA order...

Do what bob_the_builder said once for your abilities vs 1 target. Put all of the AEs in that order with IE|IAE. Do it again for 2 targets and place the AEs in again at their new positions, but without the ignore settings. I also look out for big dropoffs in efficiency. If you have a fast recast spell above the dropoff you'll want to move it up a few spots to prevent casting the shit spells as much as possible.


Then you just adjust based on class specifics/debuffs, add chains, etc.
