How To Level On Stormhold As A 6box?

Even if not using Ogre, and just have 5 toons /following your main, you're considered a "botter" now. So how should I level my team without being petitioned/banned?

I used to simply /follow my main and level in a normal progression of zones (sunken city -> undead cave in commonlands -> Fallen Gate -> etc) with my 6box. I did this for YEARS in EQ2, and now suddenly that's an 'iffy' situation to go about.

Does anyone have any tips about multiboxing now on TLE? Is it not that big of a deal unless my toons are auto-casting, etc in public? I have no issues /sticking and using ISBoxer to facilitate screen management so i can swap between them and individually cast stuff (like heals, attacks, etc).

Is it just not possible anymore to multibox on popular servers like Stormhold anymore?

Thanks friends!

Don't have 5 characters following your main in public zones, learn to split up and travel in smaller groups. And use instances, running around in public zones unless they are completely empty is just being a fucking idiot. If this means that you need to stick to leveling 1-2 characters at the start before you can start doing reasonable instances with a full group, then do so.

In short, avoiding being reported is about avoiding the things that annoy people regardless of whether you are being fully "legit" and just using native ISBoxer. On TLE that is not having 5 characters auto-following. And not having a summoner and healer sitting on a spawn spot 18 hours a day(although that's taken a bit of a hit with the last patch). And not SLR'ing loot from an identical group 7 days a week. etc.

You also need to be careful of how many times you are seen entering and leaving an instance. A friend of mine was reported for running the same instance zone over and over. He got a 3 day ban for it.

TLE brought back a LOT of people who had quit the game and who are much less tolerant of botters than the current live population is. Botting on TLE, while possible, is much more difficult than on live servers.

That's all very unfortunate :(. I've never had an issue multiboxing in any MMO save for EQ2 where it seems this population has issues with not knowing the difference between botting and boxing.

Even DAOC, once its population dwindled to nothingness, started banning boxxing years ago but has since completely stopped going after boxxers unless they're ruining RvR in the frontiers with an 8box of the same type of class (8x stealthing archers == RIP).

The problem on TLE is that the best places to actually level are all open world dungeons. So unfortunate :(!

It gets better once you make it to Dof and then KoS/EoF. Vanilla EQ2 was mostly open world grinding.

The Shard of Love instance scales from level 50 to 100 and can be done every 90 minutes. I've leveled several toons there but make sure to only be in Everfrost for extremely short durations as to not draw attention. Typically, there are no other players in Everfrost, but I don't like to take unnecessary chances.
