How to tweak profiles?

Can someone post a guide on how to tweak profiles using ACT?
If only it was that simple.

Generally good profiles come from knowing the class first hand, as well as calculating spell/ca efficiency, and the best order to rotate things etc.

I run a bezerker/inquisitor/mystic/dirge/beastlord/illusionist. Gear is mostily EM raid gear. Just seems that there should be a rule of thumb on how to set up a toon or what not to do to get a little more dps out of them.

(22:56) All: 1174227 Beastlord-Shadow Leap-1365691
Beastlord | 363092
Bezerker | 223099
Dirge | 214327
Illy | 183828
Inq | 102583
Mystic | 87299

Not that I want to parse like on the dummy parse thread, just enough to benefit our little raid force.

What I've done over the years is pay attention when I'm grouped with a good player.

For example, I found myself grouped with an Illusionist who was parsing consistently high. I made sure I saved his parses in ACT, then I studied them, then I re-ordered my Priority and CA tabs accordingly. Then I respecced my AA to match his. Then I swapped out my adorns to adorn like he did. Then I re-forged all my gear to re-forge into the stats he was re-forging into and out of.

It took time, of course, but my raid Illy's went from parsing 200k in raid to 400-600k in raid (all in EM gear).

Finally, independent of this, you have to make sure you're buffing your groups correctly. That's not so easy to learn, but if you master it, your groups' DPS can really go sky high.

Good luck!

I'd also reccomend taking a look at some other profiles, testing them out, seeing what they do differently. I tried a few ranger ones recently and learnt a few things to improve mine with.
