Drivers/DirectX not installed correctly or installation corrupted?
May be you should try reinstall drivers/DX9?(if of course your card IS support DX9, almost all that can be called 'videocard' these days support them but some very old are not)
Which graphics card you have? And which windows version?

xp sp2
i have the latest version of direct x installed
and i have a geforce go5200 graphics card and no drives have ever been made for it other than what comes preinstalled because it is a card that nvidia doesn't support

sorry, to elaborate, it happens to me occasionally and a cold boot typically fixes it.

i run windows with the /3GB switch, and i've decided that's why it happens - i could be wrong, shrug.

in my case it means d3d didn't init properly, and usually happens after a warm boot, and then as i say a cold boot fixes it for me.

ok i got innerspace and isx to work and update but now it says that my version of isx was made to run w/ the update on april 8th but when i go to copy the eq2 executable from april 8th into my eq2 folder i get this error

Cannot move EverQuest2 : a file with the name you specified already exists. Specify a different file name.

isnt the point of copying the executable to overwrite it...then why am i getting this error?

edit:: thx for the drivers wired trying them now

Don't try to do it as a move do it as a copy, then you will get the option to overwrite the file.

edit::Welcome on the driver tip, I had a laptop with a 3.2 gig processor and a decent dedicated memory ati9600 that I had to use those drivers for. I think the laptop maker released new drivers about once a year which isn't good enough for the gaming market.
