Inquisitor heal tweaks

Looking for any Inquisitor tweaks i can make to my ISS file that might help my bot keep up with heals.

Seems the Inquisitor just does little heals on me (like 500 / 600 hit point heals).

Group is all 77-78 and my Inquisitor seems barely able to keep me alive in places like Chardok or Karnor's. Just seems she does low heals constantly and doesn't do any big ones.

Anyways, any tweaks or anything I can do to make her heal better?

Well lets ask this a different way.

I came from EQ1 and a Cleric was the best healer. In EQ2 am I wrong, is the Inquisitor not who I need in a group (only healer)?

Seemed I do much better with staying alive when I use a Defiler instead of the Inquisitor.

Well anyways, any help is appreciated.

Ok , I'll bite.....Inquisitors use reactive heals , the tank gets hit and a heal is procced.

it's only a heal up-to a set amount though.

Another option open to you is mystic , they're wards are very power efficent...but they don't have many direct heals...

Best bet is to ask in the SoE forums about different types of healers and how they heal.

I run a Templar rather than an Inquis. don't have any troubles with keeping the group alive. /shrug ;)
Ah no worries thx all for the responses . Just seemed either the Inquisitor as a class is either not designed for single group healer or the ISS maybe was set too low.

I looked through parts of the ISS file and did see areas that I can increase, like <50 .. etc.

But looking through her spell list some of them have recast times of EIGHT SECONDS... good lord. So there is one section in the code that basically spams these smaller heals while <50 .. but my assumption is that the little quick heals never get me over 50 so the big heals don't kick in.

Well again I was just seeing really if anyone had tweaked there ISS some what and if so what they did.

But I am going to try a few settings in the ISS see if i can tweak the heals some and maybe bring out my defiler since we get this month free. Just to make sure maybe my group make up is just flawed and not my healer.

thx

i dont recall the terminology as its been quite a while since i ran my inquisitor, but for a cleric you'll probably need pre-heal checked, or whatever it's called, since clerics primary healage is reactives.

if you wait until after you engage for the reactives to be cast, your inquisitor will probably never catch up on the damage you're taking since their normal heals have such long cast times.

Looking through the ISS code I found several of these "EpicMode"

So I checked the box in the gui and blam, like night and day on heals.

I changed around the ministration and penance a tad but I think it was this EpicMode

Me again. I got fed up with my crappy Inquisitor so I did some research on the class at eq2flames and I have tweaked the class routine and spell list files quiet a bit.

I have added debuffs, offensive spells, and battlecleric/offensive spells (for soloing basically since they have hate).

Going to post it here in case anyone wants to use it / review it / add it to the SVN.

Added an AA ability for debuff also >> Maladroit << into spell list file.

I went from literally hating the Inquistor to feeling very secure when she's in my group. The debuffs and target radiance heals are just amazing.

Well if you have any comments or disturbing informaiton regarding this class file let me know. I used this class file to solo the Shackle quests and hopefully will be used to compelte her group mini epic quest (has to solo a 80^).

Thanks all , Bob

How does the Inquisitor do on power with your tweaks Bob?
I always have a Coercer and a shard/heart giver in the group and alwyas in beholder mode.

I never check the Fascination or Inquisition buttons though unless we are doing names cause those two suck the mana.

And I never ever ever ever use Convert cause I dont see the point in that one. That one just eats mana.

In comparison to a wizard she has less mana after several fights but in comparison to a SHD (me) she has twice as much after a fight.

Its really about those debuffs though, the 4 debuffs, and the mob debuff heals... It puts a heal buff on the mob and then heals the group using that. She used to just spam Penance, Ministration, and Arch Recovery and her mana was alwasy OOM after a fight and I was usually throwing DA on. If you use the debuffs the mobs barely even hit me now so she spends less mana healing.

Im not trying to sell this script though, I just changed it to accomodate my play style. But holler at me if you think any of my script logic or play style could be altered. I know we used to have major problems just fighting the two front door KC mobs (inside at the bridge) but now I am not scared and really appreciate the class.

My suggestion though if you have a Inq is to load up the script and head to the training wall in KJ and give it a whirl.
