    Hello Everyone,

    Astro Bot is now ready for free open beta testing of Mining and Hauling. Starting in June, 2016 I started over from scratch. I was not pleased with how Astro Bot was progressing and felt that a fresh start was in order. It is my fault for being too ambitious at the start. I wanted to please everyone, but feel that I ended up pleasing nobody.

    I fully intend to do things right this time around and will be phasing in new tasks as I feel the previous tasks have been completed. This means that the ratting and mission features of the previous version will cease to exist if you choose to upgrade to the new version until I am able to add them back in.

    Default Profiles:

    Default Profiles are available on the patcher and are located in ../AstroBot/Saves/Profiles/Exported/.

    To load a default profile, load AstroBot and navigate to the Admin Page - Page 1. On the top right, you will see Import Profile. Choose a profile to import from the combo box and press the Import button.

    Imported Profiles are now part of that characters saved profile and can be selected from profile selection combo box on the bottom of the UI.

    *NOTE: All exported profiles do not contain aliases or region/constellation/system names (Navigation Route). After importing a profile, you may need to adjust any names to match your desired outcome.

    Common places that may need to have names added include but are not limited to:

    • Aliases Page
    • Navigation Page - Navigation Route
    • Whitelist Page

    First off well done developing new bot for eve that was much awaited!
    Also great to have an open beta, but... I'm stuck at launch with it where it authenticates successfully and then I get a message "BJ Scripts' Terms of Service must be accepted before ISXBJEVE will be allowed to run. If you disagree with the Terms of Service or have any questions, please email bjcasey@bjscripts.com".
    Now the only time terms and conditions was prompted to be accepted was at instalation, I have accepted and that is it. But there is no other prompt, just add the login info. Is this a bug? Or should I do something else? There is nothing to sugest how to solv this in your instructions

    Solution: The ToS can be accepted on Innerspace Session # 1 (IS1).

    Nice work!

    Maybe my error but, on Courrier missions I often get the following:

    "My active mission counter [2] has exceeded the number active missions [1]. Pausing...."

    This ^ and yet only 1 mission selected?

    Thanks! It's coming along nicely.

    Is there anything else above it? That line just states why it's pausing, not why the mission counter might be too high.

    Okay, that's easy for you to fix yourself and is part of the beta process.

    Alpha Testing consisted of my testers creating the mission step files and then sending them to me. With the number of missions available across all of the levels, we obviously weren't able to get all of them. I would really appreciate you completing the creation of that mission file for the level you are trying to complete it at and then emailing me your file so that I can add it to the patcher.

    Once you are happy with the file, email it to: bjcasey@bjscripts.com

    Just remember to send it before you patch again, as the patcher will overwrite your changes. I should probably consider changing the missions files to only download if they don't exist. Any thoughts on that?

    No problem. I've since moved on but when I hit a future 'out of step' mission I shall do as you say above and forward the file.

    Ok I do not know what am I doing wrong, but it doesnot warp to anomalies. It just would not do that.
    I have it enabled and difficulty is set 1 to 10 ( so all)
    I have tried haveing route points and haveing none. It warps to belts if I set it as rout but completely ignores the anomalies (the once were you can just warp to directly without scanning) Any advice?

    Also grouped modules doesnot seem to work (guns for example) edit : guns fire after refreshing modules and setting thei use rulles. So you cannot re group them without needing to re configure the bot. Well no biggie

    Also awaiting an updtae/anser regarding warping to anomalies. It doesnto seem to work. Played with difficulies and so on, it is cycling asteroid belts nicely killin rats but ignores anomalies. Debuging doesnot show that it even scans for them at the moment.

    tested the updated mining script, works perfectly, not had a single crash, at the moment it seems to me the best bot, no need any settings in the game, running in the background

    i changed my settings to and removed distance values from my modules. Now mining works, it also selects and approaches new asteroids once the old ones are depleted.

    It warps back into station but than doesn't do anything. There is definitely a problem with inventory handling, only inventory i added is "ore hold 99".
    Fleeing also seems to have some issues, i only put "is criminal" which should trigger if there is rats.

    .IsCriminal does not trigger on rats as the rats aren't criminals, they are hostiles. Only PC's can be criminals.

    Try adding all of your cargo holds. Example: My hulk has a Cargo Hold and an Ore Hold, so I have both defined on the Inventory page. I have not yet seen an issue with it transferring ore to the station.

    I'm just trying to think why it isn't working for you. I typically don't assign values to cargo holds that my ship doesn't have.

    The only thing that doesn't work is, if it is back in station and can't manage to somehow get the correct inventory value and doesn't transfer the ore into the station hold.

    Is there a possibility to write a logfile?

    You can copy and paste from the Innerspace console. It tells you in there how much of what it is trying to transfer and from where to where.

    Please excuse my ignorance, but are there different clients for different languages? I believe you said that you were a non-native english speaker. Or does everyone use the same game client?

    I am playing with english client.

    So after starting the bot, it opens the inventory and then the console Looks like this:

    Okay, this is good. IsOpen: !FALSE means that your inventory window is not open (at least as far as ISXEVE is concerned). When I use mine, if the inventory window isn't open, I get one of those messages and then it opens inventory window.

    For some reason, your is failing to open your inventory window. I'm going to add more information to that debug line and patch out in the next couple of days. Then we can more easily track down why this isn't working for you.

    Some follow up questions:

    Does it do the same behavior if you open up your inventory window yourself before starting the bot?
    Does this Innerspace Console command open your inventory window when it is closed?: MyShip:Open

    But it is opening the inventory. Even if i close it, the bot directly re-opens it again. In station and in space the inventory is open all the time.
    Yes, same behaviour.

    Are you in space when you define the modules? Modules won't be displayed if you are in a station.

    Mining drone support hasn't been implemented yet.

    I'll be patching again in a couple of hours. Highlights for this patch is additional debugging for your situation of it not recognizing when the inventory window is open and an easy way to export/import profiles for the purposes of sharing.

    When I patch, I do the following:

    1) If you reloaded ISXBJEVE on IS1 and it downloaded an update, you'll see the Patch Notes popup window with the highlights.

    2) I change the topic in my IRC channel #bjscripts

    3) I post the Revision History on my wiki as well as on my website.

    4) I link the Patch Notes on Twitter and Facebook, so if you follow me you can get instant push notifications when I patch.

    If this patch does fix your Inventory issue, would you be able to take a screenshot of your entire Inventory window and email it to me? Make sure you block out your character names/ships before sending it.

    There is a checkbox on the modules page (Russian Client Mode). When enabled and the bot checks the modules it will dump information into the Innerspace in-game console in orange. This MUST be done in space.

    All the Russian Client option showed me is that your module names are different than what I have in the module export I patch out to you. We have made progress. I'll work on a fix for Thursday (-5GMT) and we will work towards getting the modules working first.

    Thanks for your patience as we test this. I would love for it to work well with the Russian Client.

    So initially it leaves the station, warps to an Asteroid belt, starts mining. Strange Thing, it doesn't mine till the ore hold is full, it warps back before (ore hold <10%). Than there was a rat and i have flee to station active, it warps back to station and again back to an Asteroid belt but doesn't do anything there (no rat or anything there). If i stop and start the bot again, it doesn't work.

    I removed hundreds of "ISXEVE: eveinvchildwindow.Capacity Inventory not yet available" entries between the different actions from the logfile so it isn't extremely huge.

    The .Capacity error is something I have asked CyberTech about. I'm waiting to hear back from him.

    Can you use the Admin page and export your profile you are using? Include your fit and email it to me.

    What do you mean by "it doesn't mine till the ore hold is full"?

    if the asteroid belt is over the ore, the bot does not go to another asteroid belt
    also in the options of delivery, the name of the station, you cannot add the citadel (there can be expensive to sell ore)
    also nice to add mining drones))

    I'll have to look into the asteroid belt issue.

    ISXEVE does not support citadels yet. It's been a feature request since they were released. Until then, I cannot add drop off to citadels.

    Mining drones are being worked on, but there is no ETA on when they will be added.

    Does this mean that you at least got it to mine correctly?

    I played arround with the bot again and after adding all other inventories with 99 the bot works until there is rats. Than it starts an endless warp back to station - warp to asteroid belt loop, without ever getting back to mining. Even if there aren't any rats anymore). Is it so complex to add defense mechanism and use some hobgoblins?

    Bot pulls them out and back into bay on its own?


    Bot gets "stuck" in asteroid belt doing nothing. Console spams this:

    Problem occurs only after there have been rats in the asteroid belt. The bot doesn't do anything, no matter if hobgoblins are inside drone bay or in space. (Sanerr you said it is working, what did you do?)

    As the rats can't kill my ship, they leave after some minutes. The bot continues to mine ore, warps back into station but than just leaves the station (ore still in ship), warps back into asteroid belt and just stands there doing nothing.

    I have to stop the bot, warp back to station and reload the bot with "bj astrobot" to make it work again.

    there was a problem, sometimes the bot does not see that the ore hold is full and obtains resources infinitely

    I have not been able to reproduce this bug. Is there anything you see it getting hung up on in the console? What is it currently doing when it fails to follow the hold full routine?

    Been away from Eve for a while, can you tell me if this still works? When I left I was using Evebot but it seemed broken at the time. If this works can it deliver ore to Citadels?

    It works for stations. It does not yet work with citadels. I've been very busy with RL and with EQ2. I will try to find time soon to update for citadels.
