ISXEQ2 won't work...

This is the wife, so be nice and no flaming! LOL

I've replaced my everquest2.exe with the proper version from 1/26 and am still having this error, "Login rejected: The client's version does not match...blah blah blah". We bought 3 copies of SF and ran the patcher the day after release.

Hubby knows more about this than I do, but he's taking a nap and I didn't want to bug him. So, I'm bugging you all :)

I've read through all the posts, but am I missing something?? Thanks in advance.

First:

Re-read the error message (the important "blah blah" part). It will tell you the compile date that the everquest2.exe that isxeq2 needs.

Then, go to http://isxeq2.twonk.net/binaries/autoupdated/ and get the right Everquest2.exe, by looking at the date.

Compile date mentioned in the error message is usually one day before the date listed on the site, but if it doesn't work, just try another one around the date mentioned.

Once you have the right exe in your EverQuest II folder, you should be set!

I've been using ISXEQ2 for about 2 months and have never had issues. The SF update just hasn't worked for me. I tried the 2-16, 2-17 and 2-19 updates but haven't been able to load it correctly. Any suggestions?

I did uninstall ISXEQ2 as well first.

Should be the one Kittara linked.
If you have multiple copies of EQ2 (test, beta, etc), make sure you have it in the one you are trying to run.
And run from InnerSpace by right-clicking the tray icon. Everquest II > EverQuest II Default Profile.

Thanks for the reply. Seems if I just dragged the .exe file, it would give me a corruption failure warning. So I deleted my .exe file and then cut/copy the file Kittara linked and it worked.
