Launching ACT and EQ2maps when starting EQ2

Was wondering if there is a way to do this. Basically launch EQ2maps and ACT once I launch the EQ2 profile in innerspace.

Uh.

for eq2maps, this is a bad idea, since running an updater that changes things in your UI directly while attempting to read that directory may cause very bad things. Or it may cause nothing at all.

honestly, you should be running updates to CVS, updates to eq2maps and UI elements PRIOR to starting anything that reads in the sony directory or the innerspace directory.

the reasons above are the reasons why you're not getting much help on this here. Additionally, this issue has nothing to do with ISXEQ2, really.

my personal start order is to run the CVS updates, run eq2maps updater, run ProfitUI updater, run ACT then run innerspace. put all of these things on the Quick Launch bar in order, and it's just a few simple fast clicks.

There are windows programs that will allow you to run programs in order, but they are beyond the discussions that should occur here. check into AutoIT or a similar scripting solution.

Personally, I find it helpful to set up my eq2maps updater to autolaunch my profitui updater, or vice-versa. You could conceivably set up whichever of these is last in the chain to launch ACT, and then all you'd need to do is launch one updater, update svn, and then launch the game.

Nice idea there Val. Are you just basically pointing the "auto start eq2" thing in eq2maps at the profitui updater jar file?

yes, and the profitui updater also has an "autostart eq2" feature, which can be pointed to ACT if you desire
