Login rejected and executable mismatch

I am having an issue where I am getting the forced patch message, ie the executable mismatch. (I did read ama's last post on the configuration, leaving the specified line blank, fyi.) I can usually just click out of the message and log in, but this time is different. When I go log in I get the message: "Login rejected: The client's version does not match the server's. Please re-run the patcher."
I did so and also checked the little hammer's button on the launch pad to only have it show the all the files are up to date. Any suggestions of what I may not have done or need to do, or just wait?

ok I guess a nevermind is in order here. For some reason I dont need help. I rechecked everything and just on a whim I decided to see if the EQ2 application (hoping I get the terminology right there, ie the EQ2 icon for the game as a shortcut on my desktop) was running and it did an update right into the lauchpad and updated the whole situation and now everything is running as it should. Who said curiousity killed the cat was a bad thing, lmao.
