Microsoft has issued a memory leak hotfix to fix a memory leak that occurs anytime a program uses the PlaySound function.

Windows Update won't download it; you have to download it individually for now until it's rolled into a service pack.
It only affects Windows 7 and Vista.
I know some people here have mentioned memory problems before, and while this memory leak only consumed a few hundred bytes of memory every time a program played a sound it all adds up right?
