More Beastlord Casting Issues

Having some odd problems with some feral primal casts.

Have the following order (set to go off at level 6):

Shadow Leap
Luclin's Pain
Shalih Mar's Mandate
Truespirit Venom
Draconic Breath
Brutal Beatdown

Shadow Leap, Shalih Mar's Mandate, and Truesprit venom cast fine. For some reason, Luclin's Pain and Draconic Breath will not cast even when the savagery is right. When they are cast (either by the bot or manually), they briefly go dark, then I see the message "No targets in area", but my BL is behind the mob at melee range. Then they light right back up. My guess is this is some kind of Eq2 problem.

That's bad enough, but then for some reason, the bot never tries to cast Brutal Beatdown, even though its ready and no other primals can be cast. I can cast it manually, however. I suppose the bot could be getting confused by LP and DB being always ready to cast but failing each time the cast is attempted, thus never getting to that one.

I do have an up to date spell export. I will play around with the cast order to see if it matters.

Really? Was that necessary? I don't care at this point in my 3-week old BL life if that cast order is everything it should be, and that wasn't the point of this post anyway. In any case, rather than be so rude, why not choose instead to be helpful and simply explain what cast order you believe would be better?

I know they are AEs, so what? And this wasn't a question at all - I was sharing a strange situation that could potentially be a bug. EQ2 is telling me the spells can't be cast, even though there is a target within range. And I now think I might know why - I was on a platform when they didn't work, but once I got on a solid surface, they worked fine. So I assume it was due to some glitch in the game. But if you know something more specific, or can point me to the "other threads" that have already raised this issue that I can't seem to find, then please do.

Sigh. Well, that's the point of the post - I am trying to learn why the bot behaves the way it does at times. If its because it can't handle a certain combinations of spell types, then simply tell me what I need to avoid. Again, if you know something specific, share it - the "information" you provided in the post is beyond useless.

You're not being clear on the problem, because it seems you are mixing two different things in the description. If LP/DB aren't being cast at all (see bolded) then it is not having them flagged as ae's properly. If it isn't casting due to geometry, then it's your end on where you're standing and shouldn't have worded part in bold like you did, or at all.

It was to head off the inevitable hey my beastlord isn't doing dps post that you'd create within the next couple of days. My cast order is on the forums, but that would require you to actually do some searching instead of just creating a new post every time. You can also do yourself a favor by Reading to even have a clue about beastlord class. Putting some effort in and searching will go a long way. If you'd even spend a couple minutes looking on this forum, I've shared a decent amount about beastlords.

You are completely wrong about everything you wrote in that quote. As I said, I have been playing this class for about 3 weeks. There is a LOT to do and know, and I don't have the ability or desire to sit at my computer 24/7 to become an expert in a class I don't play as my main. I come here for help. Hi. I'm a lot more rude than Ali is so I'll try to sugar coat this.

You are really shooting yourself in the foot here if you are going to have such a thin skin when it comes to criticism. Ali happens to be the resident expert on all things Beastlord so it would do you good to put on your big boy shorts and wade through the hateful comments and sinicism and pick out the details of what you are wanting.

As to "I don't feel like taking the effort to learn my class" statement, you are turning off a lot help from people saying crap like that. Find Ali's post with her BL set up, read it, try it, go. I've spent all of 3 days on my BST, and zero of that has been playing it manually. Don't be an idiot please...
