(Contact me via IRC or PM on here.)

Things you will need when you PM me.
    • A user name (can be anything, such as your forum name).
    • A password (this should NOT be a password you use some where else. Do not give me your EQ2 password).
    • Able to spend 5-20 minutes chatting with me to get the basic setup done.

OgreBot is a fully customizable adventure bot.
    • There is no crafting in OgreBot. There is no way to bypass the writ limit. There will never be any crafting or crafting related items in OgreBot.
    • OgreBot is part of the ISXOgre extension. However one thing to point out, ISXOgre does NOT do anything ISXEQ2 does. You REQUIRE ISXEQ2 to use ISXOgre (which is explain in the documentation, but felt it was worth mentioning again).
    • Lastly, ISXOgre requires a subscription.
For more information, including screen shots, see my wiki.

I'll give it a go, I'm always willing to pay someone to do the tedious work I don't want to do, and I'm sure I'm way behind on making my class files fully use the classes since the expansion.

And, I'm still outta bread dangit. I really wanted a sammich today.

    Messages:

Yes you can. For example take 2 profiles I have setup.
"Grind" and "Raid". My cast orders are different, who things cast on are different etc.

Lets say I give you my warlock save file, which would be in the following folder:
    /scripts/eq2ogrebot/save/ServerName_Charactername_eq2config.xml
I could send that to you, you would need to fix your servername and character name, but the file would work perfectly for you.

One word of warning - these files contain the toon names of characters. For example: In the above file, it would have my tank's name as the "assist", and would have the tanks name for some single target buffs.

    Worth noting:
Lets say you have a level 90 / 250 aa toon (I'll use warlock again as an example) and you start a new warlock. You could copy their profile and rename it, and it would work perfectly. Would be an identical setup. The only difference here, is any spells the new warlock doesn't have, won't show up (AAs etc).

I'd like to add an option that saves one of your profiles and changes the toonnames to class so they would be super easy to share, however that is a lot of work and at this moment I have a lot of other things that have priority. There are many screen shots of each screen that work well for now.

Originally Ogreharvest was built to work with OgreBot (OgreHarvest actually loaded inside of OgreBot). When I switched to the new format (from Tabs to Frames) I broke that. I'll fix it here at some point.

This is no different than with any harvesting bot and adventure bot - AFK harvesting will get you banned, so be aware of that.

Yah I know, was thinking t9 wise since it could defend itself, i'd be interested in paying if the harvest worked with the bot considering how much more plat you can make off of t9 than previous tiers.

They do work together, you just have to load them separately. Just want to add, that my coding time right now is decidated to OgreBot, and not OgreHarvest.

For example, since ISXEQ2 was down, I have converted 3 tabs to an easier to use format and created a new tab.

I'm going on the assumption that you are asking if OgreBot can heal pets. If so, the answer is yes. Most functions can have pets as targets. You just need to enable them (button on the main page - Enable Pets in Drop downs).

Ok one thing i would love to see in a bot that eq2bot dont have.. is on named fights the harder ones that it have some kinda script already made for that fight so all you gotta do is either tank with your tank and the rest of your dudes just do there job or you can sit back and watch them kill the encounter without doing anything.. i tend to always control my tank though and let the rest of my group do there own little job.. if a new bot program had something like that ... id be all for it..

Well, it depends what level this is needed. Take for example, Drusella (I realize I'm going back years) for me, there is no reason to have any code, I can kill him before he puts up his shield. For a low DPS group, that wouldn't be possible. Would I spend the time coding him? Probably not.

Generally speaking, anything annoying or required is/will be scripted in. Right now there is very little in it, but I do have an "Auto Load Grind Options" button. This means if you are fighting a Named mob that has special coding built in, it automatically runs that code. The one small example, is the last namer in Royal Palace, it clicks those stupid little rift spawny things. I plan to make it run to the statues and click, but I haven't had time. That, and I just blade dance and burn him and ignore the statues.

Give me an example of a namer you would like to see scripted in, and I could give you an idea if it's possible, then if it's likely to happen or not. I've cleared all the instances.

Yea ive cleared all to but one annoying named id like to see put in would be the queen in cella as of right now the eq2bot wont work in the water and you have to manually fight her and the adds and trust me my dudes are all sf raid geared out and if your not fast enough with your tank they will rape your group.( i play pally so it seems other tanks like zerkers have easy mode on this part)..another thing id like to see put in is when you main tank targets something your other guys should target right away without having to click reassist.. Thats so annoying in Eq2bot when your fighting say a named and adds pop and you go to switch to burn them, all of your guys will stay on the named.Dunno just some thoughts.. And the above question on level needed id say only T9 stuff should be put in i mean the lower stuff is so dam easy now.

EQ2Bot not working in the water isn't a "bot" related issue. ISXEQ2 can't tell when someone else is in combat while in water (it actually says you are NOT) which causes problems.

I don't find Cella a hard fight at all. It's 100% gear. If you are SF raid geared (even T1) cella should be a cake walk.
I personally, set my group heals/reactives/wards to 100% (so they spam). Then all I have to do is target on my tank.
OgreBot uses implied assisting. This means your support heros assist your tank (well, who ever you want it too, but 99% people use their tank). When your tank changes targets, everyone else does instantly (again, since it's implied target).

I didn't mean the tier, I meant the amount of work required for the namer.

Since Cella is a water issue, it's not something that can really be coded in. I haven't found many group zones in T9 where special coding would help.

Drusella is a girl. Just thought I'd clear that up.

And as for Cella, if your tank is undergeared then use double healers, an enchanter in mez mode and judicious use of death saves/immunities(DA) to survive the initial spikes. Your healers should be able to spam enough healing to allow you to tank a single add at a time and the dragon buff lasts long enough that abilities should recycle in time before the next round.

The only other piece of advice I can give is watch positioning. The adds AE auto and *will* chew through any characters in the frontal arc(and/or trigger your healer bots to waste single target heals on someone other than the MT).

But all this really belongs in the SF instaces thread.

Two points (not sure if you wanted this put in the new Bugs/Features section):

    - Wrath spell will not show up on my priests. I have used Spell Export since with no luck. Does not show up in the drop down or lists.

    - Any plans for giving the bot the ability to interact with quest dialog boxes (i.e. accept quest, etc) Is that even possible?

Otherwise, works nicely so far and I have no idea what I am doing.
I like how changing AA's doesn't cause it to bug out, like EQ2bot works.

Wrath - Should work fine. Are you doing run ogre spell, or ogre spell? It should be the latter (Ogre spell).

Dialog boxes - Conversations for relays are already in. They are under the hail button.
    Opt 1
    Opt 2
    Opt 3
    Opt 4

If that isn't what you mean, let me know.

Pretty sure if you spend AAs really fast with OgreBot, it will still probably crash you. Just don't spend them too fast :) If you have to spend a lot, close the bot and spend them then reopen it.

And if you are referring to accepting a quest that has been offered, if Ogrebot is running, it should automatically accept it.

And I have Wrath loaded up on multiple priests (though, at the end of the CA order, crappy spell) and it's working fine.

I just got this program and so far I am very impressed.

I am currently working my way through the group zones in SF, working out what works, and how to do stuff etc.

At the moment I am on the Research Halls, can someone tell me how I get my bots to joust out so they dont get raped when those erudites cast their big AOEs.

I am using only one PC, and running three instances of EQ2 of it, if that makes a difference.

The way I usually make this fight work is I leave healers/casters out of fight (i.e. turn off follow).
Melees I turn off follow and any positioning skills (move into melee and get behind mob). Then manually put them onto follow. That way they stay with me but do not move automatically. Then I position them by moving the tank into the correct position. This allows scouts the mob's back.
Ensure all characters have move into melee range off or they will die to the curse.
Then when the named spouts off about dropping their AE I move out of range let it go off and then move back into combat range.

Here is the easist way to setup jousting.

Stand on a "safe spot" and press "CS-JO-JI". (Campspot, Joust off for casters, Joust in).

Now fight the mob away from your casters. When you want your melee to run to the casters, joust out (Jst-Out). When you want your melee back on the mob, joust in (Jst-In).

One tip though in case anyone reading this doesn't know, to get the campspot feature to work make sure 'Move to Area' is selected on your bots.

Ogrebot looting chests outside fo range

    Firstly, Great bot thanks.

I have recently started using the auto hunt feature to grind out some AA's on my Shadowknight. The one thing I keep noticing is, he is fighting large sized mobs and rarely picks up the chests ( unless he runs over them going to the next mob ). Is there something I may have missed that tells the bot to check the local area for chests and loot them?

This isn’t a looting problem, I’m 99% sure it the fact the chests are outside whatever range the bots checks for the chest.

    Blackie.

Looting "range" is based on your character's size (yes, that's right, larger races can loot from further away). Originally when I wrote the loot code I didn't know this, so I had to "play" with it and find a range that worked for everyone. It is a little limited. When I re-write the loot code, I will use your characters exact range and it should help resolve this.

In the mean time, there is no "fix" for it.

Won't help for the bot, the range is set to a #, not based on a character size.

Unfortunately, the character size isn't dynamic, so it never updates. It's always based off your "default" character size.

Right now, I actually recommend people don't use any size modifiers at all if you use any kind of auto attack movement. Character size also determines how far away you can hit the mob from (your hit box).

Lets take an example (numbers are made up cause I don't remember):
    [You]--[Mob]
Your default hit box is 2 meters, the mobs hit box is 2 meters, and all weapon ranges are 2 meters. This means you can be 6 meters away and still hit with a weapon.

Lets say you use something that makes you smaller (Billydoll, for example), your hitbox changes to 1.5. Now you only have 5.5 meters of melee range. Because the bot can't read this change, if you are at say, 5.7, it will think you are still in melee range and leave you there.

We can apply this to looting also.
    [You]--[corpse]
You and the corpse have a "lootrange" (pretty sure it's the exact same hitbox). If you shrink, you decrease this range and the bot wouldn't be able to tell (once I add in correct range).

    Anyways.. Just thought I'd share...

Out of interest how effective is using the autohunt feature and whereabouts are you doing it.

I am tempted to level a new toon, and may try messing around with auto hunting in zones like Fallen Gate, locking AA etc. I plan on using a zerker/healer and my new toon.

I was doing the test on those large gorilla mobs near crystal mountain, since i was used to using Ogre map with harvest it was easy to set up the autohunt.

Just use Ogre map to create your hunt path and all is well, though with it leaving chests behind i have stopped using it after seeing someone killing Gnolls in BB and leaving chests all over the place, made it obvious what he was doing ( though he could jsut be rich and not caring to loot the chest of course )

    Blackie.

ps. if you are have not used Ogre map there is a great write up on it in one of the forums.
