How much RAM is needed to 6 box? The hardware I have in my computer is a

CPU: FX 6100 6 core
GPU: GTX 560 TI (gigabyte overclocked version)
RAM: 8GB 1600 mhz

and I can't run 6 characters. I can't run five. And as long as I don't do too much I can mostly do three characters. I'm looking to upgrade to around 12GB of ram.

Will that be enough for a full group?

Also, I run my main char on one screen, then divide the second screen for the rest of the characters. Would that matter on performance?

I only use 8gb of RAM and can 6 box without any issues - Even been able to run 7 accounts with no problems.

I'm assuming you run at minimal graphic settings ?

I've got 10 GB of RAM (odd i know but gotta do what ya gotta do hehe) and depending on the zones I have anywhere from 1-2.5GB of free memory running 6 accounts and buncha websites n other junk open. RAM really shouldn't be your limiting factor here especially with 4 or 5 accounts. However, that said, 12GB is more than enough for 6 accounts. Just with what you're describing it seems like something else is amiss.

Well what if you turn off the second display completly so its not even seen by the OS then run your EQ2 w/ proc affinity for each session. We can digress on proc affinity but just use ISXBOXER and the wizards )

Anyways disable the second video try eq2 and what happens? Then youll know if the perfomance is based on the video... my guess is proc affinity but ...

What is proc affinity? I get major lag when running boxer. I really like the fictions of boxer but I was getting like 3 sec lag. I have an i7 2600k 16gigs ram and running cross fire ati 6870s. Running 7 accounts.
