Zone note: currently 'special' and 'special_zonespecific' don't seem to work in this instance, so climbing ropes etc needs to be done manually.

Useful map and boss / POIs

---

You will be able to spawn only five names on each run through Scourge Keep. Certain names are mutually exclusive, such that you can do only one of of a pair or set, and the other(s) then becomes unavailable. These sets include:

Outside Keep: Harkor or Viletooth or Vurgal

Castle Bailey: Pork Chop or Onok or Partak and Bandak

Cauldron: Yallessulich or Rinis or Sanctifier Kilug

Lower Castle: The Blood Iron Eater or Thrug

Upper Castle: Prime Vigoth or The Glutton

After you've slain five names, you gain access to a storeroom near the arena where you can get an item that allows you spawn the Sanctifiers, who act as the zone end boss.

Trash notes:
Inside Keep pull guards 5m from their camp spot to damage.
In mines kill Taskmasters first, they get a countdown buff.

Harkor
Spawned by killing mounted orcs outside
Named is rooted in gateway. He has a 270 degree 'frontal' so keep group on his rear. Avoid his targets on the ground and get group back to rear on knockback.

Viletooth
Spawn by killing crocs in moat.
Pull him up one of the ramps just far enough for the players to exit the water, thereby removing the uncurables, but not far enough that he is out of the water. The tank can then move down the ramp into the water to turn Viletooth if there are enough heals to keep up with the dot. Cure curses.

Vurgal
Spawn by killing all solo mobs - battlemasters and patrollers
Adds come when he emotes about his shield, kill them before his 30 incriment countdown expires. For each add left standing when it runs out he inflicts piercing dmg.

Pork Chop
Spawn by killing guard next to butcher, then chase butcher and kill when he aggros.
Tank and spank, when Pork Chop goes immune grab cleaver in room and equip.

Onok
Spawn: Click Vine covered staff next to the dead body in the stable at ( 32, 0, -2) Click left hand lantern next to door at small storeroom next door. Equip flaming staff enter storeroom to burn crates and barrels.
Keep moving during this fight as you will die if stand still for 8 secs. He will emote that he is giving you crates. You either need to destroy the m ost or the least depending on his emote. Looking forward to this being scripted, Kannkor, as this is a pita!

Partak and Bandak
Spawned by finding all the dying orcs in the towers around the keep and clicking them to put them out of their misery.
The dying orcs can be on any floor, and two of them are on roofs. They are trackable.
Partak and Bandak gain an incremental which, when it hits 20, lets them one-shot you. To avoid this, burn them down equally, switching back and forth between the two to keep their increments approximately even.

The Glutton
Talk to orc in Glutton’s Bliss (mess hall) and let him escape. He’ll bang gong.
Tank and spank, at roughly each 25% he’ll emote Coming Through and moves along corridor. When he gets to mess hall he needs stunning to take damage.

Prime Vigoth
Talk to orc in barracks to spawn.
Follow the orders:
get down (crouch)
stop attacking (target self)
get back there (joust away)
to me (move in close)
front and center (move so mob is facing you)
flank (move to flanking position).
If adds die first she speeds up commands, so sing focus helps.

Rilis (hastily written note)
All grab deathrot oil from shelf downstairs in The Depleted Armory ( -8, 1, 22 )
To spawn Rinis, you will need to collect several ingredients.
A Shackle (by the cauldron) ( -11, 8, 27)
Maiden's Scream (across from cauldron) ( -16, 9, 41 )
Vile Essence (SW tower, top floor) in Old Deathfist Stockpile ( 19, 17, 28 )
Blood Sap (the arrow piercing the orc on tree outside the Keep) ( 139, -12, 138 )
Click cauldron to spawn. Use deathrot oil to apply buff when she gets reflect. (Thanks Tantroth)
Can DPS safely now.

Yallesulich (nearly faded message)
All grab maiden’s scream from table across from cauldron ( -16, 9, 41 )
To spawn Yallessulich, you will need to collect several ingredients.Vile Essence (SW tower, top floor) in Old Deathfist Stockpile (19, 17, 28)
Phylactery (nearby in Lich's Brew) ( -22, 8, 29 ) .
Deathrot Oil (The Depleted Armory) ( -8, 1, 22 ) .
Blood Sap (the arrow piercing the orc on tree outside the keep) ( 139, -12, 138 )
Maiden's Scream (across from cauldron) ( -16, 9, 41 )
On emote “a new concoction” move away until you lose slow cast debuff
Each adds makes her stronger so if dps is low you might need to switch to adds and keep numbers down.
No idea about maiden's scream item. Apparently it is needed but for me it didn't seem usable, just said the jar remained sealed.

Kilug
spawns using items that drop from orcs in the keep that will be in your inventory. Sometimes they didn't appear in my inventory, but you can track hammer, shield, sword, spear around the Keep if this happens and grab them from the wall.
Read the tooltips on the four banners around the Shrine to Tallon Zek. to see which order is needed. This is not always the same. If you get it wrong you'll be killed.
The door to the Ritual of Blood is now open ( 3, 1, 23 ) and Kilug awaits.
Tank and spank, mage dispell his buff in blood pool but get out fast, too long in there and you die.

Thrug
Speak to dying jailor to spawn. Follow his dialogue for the order in which to open the cells and find the key. Open next door to reach Thrug.
Keep him moving to take damage, joust away when he AEs. There's also an add, kill before it turns into epic mob.

Blood Iron Eater
Harvest all Blood Iron Ore nodes to spawn
Periodically he curses a toon and moves it away. Run to toon and cure curse. Cursed toon must not move until cured or it will die. There is a stoneskin effect that can be mage dispelled, but it causes knockback and power drain, I didn't bother but if dps is low you might need to do this.

To spawn bosses, take the item you got from the storeroom near the arena and sacrifice it at The Shrine to Tallon Zek on the main floor at 11 , 1, - 21)

Sanctifier Yegigoth
Fight each add in corresponding colour circle to their buff, moving as they change (approx every 30 secs)
When Sancifier casts storm take cover up by throne.
Slow / stats debuff is cured by standing in yellow or green ring for 10 secs, read buff to see which one.
Once linked adds are down hoards or orcs climb the walls.

Sanctifier Maknok
Hardest fight in there imo.
Only Vulis can be damaged initally, but you have to have all toons facing Maknok or you get a curse. Maknok 'interceeds' on players, so they get a det which causes pulsing damage to those around.
A totem of submission spawns periodically. You can have no more than 3 up or it's a wipe. Pulling Vulis to the totem causes him to take more damage.
When Vulis is dead Maknok can be damaged. He will spawn a totem of destruction, again this must be killed. He also has a fear - 'Despond', which you can joust away from as it has a long cast bar.

You also now have access to the arena in the basement. Good luck!

The Arena -

Basically you have to last as long as possible. If you die, you are out.
Mobs are very basic, you get 1 or 2 at at time, and they dont tend to do much.
You get black circles appear on ground which you must move out of, these are traps. Failing to do so causes you to die.
You get floating blue cloud things, that if you stand in them, stop all beneficials on you for 5s.

As the fight goes on, you get more clouds, and more circles.

If you last 30+ rounds, you unlock Challenge Mode for the Sanctifier mobs.

How do you get to Scourge Keep? Do you have to do the signature timeline? I am blocked from getting past the bridge (first time in new GU).

If Rinis is already up, and you click the cauldron, your deathrot oil comes off, and its ugly. Basically make sure to heave the deathrot oil buff on you when you attack her.

Protip! To get stop cutscenes when Bosses spawn click the bottle by a Greenhood Tracker next to the gate /way -201, 2, 94

Anyone have any handy tips on Vulis & Maknok?

He really is causing me a headache. I have everyone facing Maknok, I don't really dps them (or rather Vulis) until I have my team placed at a pillar, once it has popped. Then dps. My biggest problem is getting to the next pillar, I start loosing people and my tank! I have my guys on Singular Focus to lessen the damage on the pillars. So either I need to dps harder and get Vulis down without any move and deal with the increased damage from multiple pillars, or I'm missing something!

The most taunting thing is, it's the last shiny I need!

Ive found easiest way on Maknok, is when you need to move, camp spot group first, target Maknok (So all toons face it), and move it away. Then hit Lets-Go, and your group will then move behind maknok while continuing to face him.

Then make sure the mobs are positioned together, and switch back to Vulis again to dps it. Rinse/repeat.

P.S - The fight is total ****. I only ever kill the cauldron mob in this zone any more just to avoid Maknok.

My way on Maknok, is to position all toons facing tank about 6m from each other to avoid pulse damage from his intercede. I don't move anyone apart from dps1 who runs round (still facing maknok) to kill totems. I run sing focus / no aes and when the totem pops near Vulis everypone dps like nuts (DoW ftw).

When Vulis is dead all move out to 10+m , camp / crouch/ walk on tank so doesn't get feared off, still use dps1 to take down totems. I can pretty much one pull it using this strat.

My issue atm is since they changed the arena I can only kill about 20 adds. Before change I was 30 easily. Fucking annoying lol.

Are there scripts for Zek Keep or will there be soon? It really is a tedious zone!

I hate the zone with a passion, in fact I'm not enamoured by any of the GU100 zones at all. It it wasn't for the loot I'm not sure I'd bother! :)

loots not even worth it.. I just do tot zones and the 2x new fabled.. I cleared the zek a couple times myself.. but then and went a.nd looked at all drops that are possible.. not worth the trouble.

Phase 1,
Singular focus on all toons, try to avoid AoE's.
Make sure always facing Maknok, do not turn back on him.
Kill Captain - Takes more damage if you move him to the totems that pop. Try to avoid killing totem unless you get multiple.
If a toon gets 'interceded' they need to turn their back on Maknok quickly, he'll hit them and it'll drop off. Return to facing named.

Phase 2, (After Captain dies)
Turn off SF, enable AoE's. Kill Maknok. Everytime he kills a totem, need to kill it. Either by moving whole group, or manually killing it with a T1 dps. (remember have to keep facing Maknok).
Every 45s or similar he will cast a Fear, with a 10m range. He emotes and has a decent cast bar to show when thats happening.

Update on Sanctifier Yegigoth
Just thought I would post how I do this mob.
Move the team into one of the two circles, then move both Valtoris and Gluntok into the circle.
When the circle is green target Valtoris, when it is yellow target Gluntok.
When I see the message 'You will not survive the storm!' I move the team to under the canopy, by way of the stairs.
When the rain is done, move back to the circle and finish killing Valtoris, Gluntok as described above.
Once they are dead move the team under the canopy and target Yegigoth. and place everyone, including tank and named, in one pile and burn till dead. Ignore the waves of orcs.

If your healers are semi decent, you can just heal through the storm now. Doesn't do a lot and saves moving.

same.. they all mostly suck. high POT items, so far, are the only reason to go there... 99% of the GU100 zones are contested, which is unpleasantly high profile for us.

This is how I've done it and it's pretty easy. I plant my tank by the door down to the castle, with rest of group spread out 6m away from each other (and casters 10m away from tank for ease of 2nd stage). Pull to door and tank Vulis, while concentrating on a dps class to kill the totems (I kill them as soon as they pop).

When Vulis dies, move all but tank to 10m away from Maknok and put tank on walk. Continue to kill totems with dps class, moving back to 10m away after to add to the dps, repositioning tank after each fear. Win.

Decided to have my first try at HM Yegigoth today, anyone any tips? Running symbol down to Tallon's visage with the dirge, and pretty much before he can even run back the group is wiped. I see in my chat box spam requires Scout / Mage / Priest / Fighter but not staying alive long enough to figure it out. Is it even worth doing HM?

HM Yeggigoth is basically the same as EM, apart from you get the main named too. Just make sure when you click tallon visage on dirge, your tank is prepared to take extra damage and pick up named.

What's the general consensus on the path of least resistance? Which named out of each group of three amounts to the easiest run?

Also, I spawned Vurgal on my first run but couldnt kill all of the commandos in time. My group is doing about 80 mil DPS. Whats the DPS price of admission on this zone?

I go Vurgal first, as he's just tank and spank. The others are pretty much the same with a little moving. My main group has the dps to do all of them easily though.

80m group wide is tiny. A dps class should be doing more than that. If you struggle to do Vurgal you'll struggle to do others, especially last named.

DPS it, wait for 2 curses to be cured, stop dps. When cures up again, dps again.

It's slightly slower on named, but beats clearing all that orc trash.

BJCasey -- Did you write any scripts for this? Specifically Onok? I checked your site, but it says "coming soon"...since June! I'll resub if you write the needed scripts

I got sidetracked with the QB re-write and then had a young family member pass away suddenly and then had my mom in ICU the past few days. I'm likely not going to get that zone done like I wanted to before the expansion in November and I'm very sorry about it.
