broke "something".
ISXVG starts properly ... but ...

Using scripts like VGA, KBOT or VG-BM - they load and some functions are still working (KBOT port is ok, buffing in VGA is working), but most functions don't work anymore (no fight, no follow).

All was working fine until Vanguards patch.

Further testing: VGCRAFT runs properly.

I may need more specific information so that I can test things to know what needs to be fixed. ISXVG should have refused to load if major changes were made, so it must be something small, which will be hard to find without specific information.

Actually, I'm not showing a Vanguard patch. I did a full file check, and see no updated files.

Do you have a link to the patch notes? How do you know there was a patch? Can anyone else confirm the issues reported in this thread? Does anyone have specific members/methods/commands that are not functioning that I could test? (I don't have characters to use a script, so that's not helpful.)

Also, it would be helpful to have an account to see these things myself. So, if you have an extra account and trust me to use it, please email details to amadeusmq@yahoo.com. I can log in with a new/free account, but wouldn't have any characters with which to test anything really.

I am having the same issues. BM script will not follow or perform its combat functions. Also there is tools script that will no longer buff as well. It will cast buff once and then stop working until you restart the script then you are good for one more asking of "buff" and then it stops again.

Its been the big talk tonight in my guild, we all run multiple Toon's on most nights (especially when harvesting)

I did run the harvest scripts and they seem to work ok, but it appears to be an issue with combat/buffing scripts.

Let me know what info you need and i will do my best to figure it out. It is not mentioned in the patch notes so looking there has not helped. (this patch focused on changing the level of different zones in the game not really changing abilities)

I would work on it myself but i am not a programmer and all attempts to learn have only led to frustration.

Did some further testing this morning.
VG-DK seems to do its work, at least it fights :) I had only some small problems.
VG-BM and VGA refuse to do any combat related actions.

I will look closer in it after job later today.

I wrote back to get some more context; however, it could very well be that making this alteration to scripts might fix the issue. Did they remove the ability "Torch"?

Anyway, we might need for Zandros to look over things. Is he still around?

Problem found, I suppose.
The Torch Ability was taken away from SOE with last patch. And this caused the problems.

I found 4 uses in VGA (in a form like in your example, Amadeus), deleted them and the script is running again. Files are Act_GUI_Utility.iss and Act_Interupt.iss.

Same problems with other scripts solved this way.

Ok, I updated the scripts in the SVN.

Obviously, the reason that the line was there in the script was because "Torch" was an ability that everyone had. So, by checking that it was "IsReady", the script could make sure that all abilities were ready (i.e., the player wasn't stunned, on global cooldown, etc.) It was a "catchall" in other words.

So, if you come across weirdness in your script, you might want to revert back to the previous version of the script via SVN, and then replace Torch with an ability that your character has. (Or, if someone knows of an ability that everyone has, can use that too.) Either way, this should fix the issue with VGA.

I'm still around and logged in just now to see what the problem is...

SOE removed the "Torch" ability which has caused many of the scripts to hang. I have gone through and fixed every script that referenced "Torch" and replaced it with "Using Weaknesses".

To update all your files in the "Script" folder using SVN, right click on the folder and select "SVN Update". It will update the files to the most current version.

Let me know if that fixed the problem.

OK, I updated both of those scripts on SVN. It should fix those particular errors. If you get others, post them here the same way you did those.

vg-dsc is working now... a bit.
now it pulls one time in auto-hunt-mode, but don't use any other attacks then autoattack and heals.

when autohunt is deactivated, it fights normal. but if an add is joining, the add is fighted in autoattack again.

yes did update did delite old maps evrything still it dosent work it starts barly follow mob then it does nothing bn1 follow works but it will not heal any one not even buff if you klick on the buff botton

Does anyone else use this script he's talking about?

I don't know, you may have to contact the original author and have them look into it - I'm not sure who that might be. Or, start learning how to do it yourself. Or, perhaps pick a different script that is currently working. I searched through the script you mentioned for the 'fix' that seems to be fixing the other scripts and everything was properly adjusted. So, I'm not sure what it might be.

When you right click on the "VG-DK" directory, and click on "TortoiseSVN->Show Log", does it look like this screenshot? (Click the image to make it larger.)

Also, while you're in the game, type these three commands into the console (with ISXVG loaded) and tell me what it says:

(You might want to copy/paste just to make sure you don't do a typo.)

Tonight, I will log in and double-check each script looking for errors along the way and when I am done I will post here.

Since I do not have time to play and thoroughly test my modifications, I do respectfully ask that you post the errors you find here so that I can fix them.

I sure do miss playing and writing scripts on my spare time... only 6 more months to go before I can return home and resume scripting.

I have a unique problem, im still new to the scripts here so bear with me, tools will not work for me, it will not buff but when i close it in group and reopen it it will buff 1 of the buffs, then i can close it again and reopen it and it will buff the next one and so on, but with the /tell it will just stand and look stupid, thanks in advance

I do apologize for not posting in the forums all the changes I did. I have updated many scripts last night fixing the "Torch" and "Using Weaknesses" ability as well as other errors.

I did discover that if you find yourself constantly reconfiguring your characters/settings everytime you run the script, it is because the script does not have the permissions to save the config files within the save folders. There is a program in the forums you will need to run... FixISX.exe That program will grant permissions to the folders so that it can save the configuration files. You can find it here:

The script starts, as intended. when auto-hunt is deactivated, there is no problem, but when activated, it fights the first mob like normal, but stops to use more then auto-attack and heals at the later pulls.

I will have to look at the Endowment routines in VG-DSC and see what is going on... my haunches is the target is outside of melee range or the Endowement Buff isn't registering. After work, I will look into the routines and run some tests.

Regarding VG-DSC,
It seems that the script now uses skills, more often, but with big pauses. It starts again after a critical hit, to use some skills. But most of the fight it autoattacks again.

are you folks able to run vga after zandros posted his patch?

i'm getting the error obj_yahooim.iss:38 atom000000f7 ext -require isxim
endscript vga failed

and the script just stops

*edit i've installed the isxim extension but the script still hangs when combat begins.

The file ISXIM.dll exists in your /innerspace/Extensions folder? If so, what's the date/time on the file?
