Trying to get isxeq2 to load...

Ok, first of all i think i can say that I have virtually exhausted most of the resources on this forum and the wiki to help fix my problem and still have had no luck so far.

I downloaded everything i needed for inter space and isxeq2 to run etc...
Unfortunately, however, a week + has passed since i have had access to internet and was not able to test any scripts etc...

Fast forward to today and I finally get my internet back, try to run isxeq2 ingame through inter space and i get a failure message. I am not sure what the message says as it immediately goes to black screen and the error message "eq2 client has stopped working" etc...

I can only assume that this is the error message due to having the wrong .exe , however, i have literally tried almost all the exe's since the beginning of july and none have worked for me.

There was a patch today that i downloaded unintentionally (first day back w/ internet ran eq2 client directly) but i noticed an .exe file for today (Aug. 19) so i figured it was a force patch anyways.

The latest .exe does not work for me, and i can't get any of the others to work either. Again i know the error message comes up but it flashes so quickly that i can't see it (screen goes black w/ crash error message).

Am I in one of those situations where I shouln't have updated and have to wait until the next force patch. Bought subs for both about 2 weeks ago and just anxious to get it working.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, and I am extremely sorry if there was something obvious that I missed.

p.s. I configured everything like the tutorial etc... says ( I think ) and sorry for the long post just trying to be specific.

Since you are actually crashing and can't see the message in the console, it wouldn't be fair to cause you more stress by telling you to try all the exes again.

Use this one: http://isxeq2.twonk.net/binaries/autoupdated/200907282315-EverQuest2.exe.zip

If you are still getting crashes, remove the ext isxeq2 from your inner space configuration (follow the isxeq2 setup steps to get back to that point if you need to) and then attempt to load isxeq2 once in-game.

Rule number 1 of using ISXEQ2: NEVER EVER use the patcher unless the game *ITSELF* tells you to use the patcher. You'll know when it's time, believe me.

Thank you so much for the reply and advice. I really appreciate your help!

Unfortunately I have already tried that .exe too =(, just went through all your steps and all seem to crash.

I see the message for a brief second each time and am pretty sure that it is the isxeq2 version not matching the EverQuest2.exe error, because I see a notice about if this is patch day in "****'s" It just disappears so quick i can't read it w/ the crash error.

I tried loading the isxeq2 ingame as well, (I know the Inter Space configurations by heart now) and the same crash happens as soon as I load.

I hate to think that I'll have to wait longer to try out isxeq2, but i'm going to be patient. I have still tried all .exe's from july onward. I'm afraid that by patching I'm going to just have to wait until next force patch.

Any further help would be greatly appreciated.
