Vista 64b weird issues

I have a desktop and laptop and both are running vista 64b on them

when i alt tab on either machine and im running to a location that ive defined it will change direction completely and run until it chunks. Its only started this latley that ive noticed. And, it does this on both of my systems.

I check the console and it dosent show anything wrong or why ir randomly runs a direction.

when alt tabbed its slower doing combines. Im making weathered leather bundles on 2 seperate characters and have 1 alt tabbed and the other full screen. The one alt tabbed to desktop is much slower on combines. I had both do 10 combies then stop. The alt tabbed one was done with 6 while the full screen one was done already. I reversed this between the desktop and laptop and re tested and same results.

The desktop system is a fresh install of Vista as of 5/5 and it was doing the same issue before the reload.

So, is this a vista issue im stuck with or is there is something else i can post on this.

It might be in the way you have your computer set up. I think default the computer uses less resources for minimized programs, and since this game is so hard on computers, using less means it run slower in game while minimized? We all know how much lag can affect our dps, no lag = higher dps, etc. so maybe this is something similar?

I'd try to go into windows task manager while the game is running and set the priority to real time. not sure if that'll help while minimized though.

also /control panel/system/advanced system settings/advanced (Tab)/performance settings/advanced (tab) again/processor scheduling - can select background services.


I'm not sure of any other way to improve performance while minimized.
