Windows 8 Consumer Preview and Fps999

So, I was wondering if anyone has gotten this to work on Win 8 CP. I get the 999 error (Innerspace runs, but as soon as I run isxeq2 I crash out of EQ altogether). Thanks I have done:

1. Made sure I was not running any type of Windows compatibility on the innerspace.exe application. (this crashes with the fps showing 999)
2. Turned on compatibility for Innerspace, setting to Windows 7. (this causes the crash to occur instantly , before seeing the innerspace overlay within Everquest
3. Turned off compatibility mode, got back to step 1.

Curious if anyone else has tried, and has gotten it to work.

Thanks!

Actually, I worked out that if I download the 1.11 developer preview of innerspace (its a check box in the console to download developer releases) it adds Win 8 support. Now I am just stucks on trying to find the Jan 17 version of everquest2.exe... I downloaded the latest but its giving me a mismatch. I will also see if svn is available isxeq2 but always had the impression that isxeq2 would patch itself when loaded.

Actually, I believed they patched today. I noticed the everquest2.exe file the patcher downloaded is for 3/24 and that the everquest2.exe available for download is from 3/19.

Will give it another go tomorrow but seems like I am definitely around the error where isxeq2 was leading to a crash, by updating innerspace.

One additional item of note. The License Window does not come up under Windows 8 in its current incarnation. I was able to copy the isxeq2.xml file from my innterspace/extensions directory to ensure activation works (this is essentially described also in another part of this site on how to manually activate the isxeq2). So while innerspace activation is fine, you will need either an working copy to pull the xml file from or need to follow the manual registration process.

Following all of these steps in this thread, I now have this product working on another Windows 8 Machines, so I think you have everything you need to be a Win8 previewer and a ISXEQ2 user :)
