Any way to keep casters at max cast?

There is an option for meelee characters to "move into meelee range", but I don't see anything like "stay at max cast range" for casters. This would be nice for pulls and when the tank has to move around to get mobs facing the proper direction from casters. So when I hit "Lets go", and "move behind/front mob" is checked, the meeleers move into meelee range and the casters move to max cast range at the requested mob orientation and maintain those distances throughout the fight. I realize that moving casters means interrupting casts, but once the fight is stabilized, this should not be happening very often. However, if the mechanics of maintaining this automatically are too difficult, a button like "move to max cast" for mages and priests, so you can manually request readjustment if necessary, would be sweet too.

The main reason for this request is that, for fights where there are a lot of adds, I find it can take a little moving around to get them all oriented properly. At times, I wind up getting outside of my healers cast range, with predicitably disatrous results. I have been using "move into meelee range" in these situations to keep them with me, but at times, AEs can be problematic for my squishy casting friends.

Two suggestions:

1. Use ogre follow and set a large distance.
2. Make an MCP button similar to the max healer range button I showed how to make on these forums for all casters and press it when you need to.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried them both, and while they work to bring toons that are out of range into range, if the toons are inside the distance specified, they do not move out to the max cast range. What I was hoping for was something to push them out to Max Cast distance if they get in too close.

I may be able to add something, but it will be a button you manually press, and it will have NO LOGIC.

Basically, you will hit a button, everyone will face you, then back up until they are > the distance you provided. I won't be determining which direction they should be moving, it would simply be directly away from you. Will be a while but I'll try to work on it.

This would be a nice addition.

Until then learn to manage your campspots and use joust off/in wisely. If you need to change your campspot during a fight, come2me then cs-jo-in then move away.

This is what makes a great Ogre user, learning ways to adjust on the fly.

Yep, that would be great Kannkor - thanks for considering it. And I do try to use the existing jousting and campspot tools, which are da bomb - but they can be a bit difficult to pull off quickly enough if there are a lot of adds, which admittedly, is not that often.
