Aom Heroics Struggling

Am I the only person struggling badly with this new content? I have both zav zones on farm, I have bilge on farm but I can't kill the final named in yellow flag or make any real progress in any of the other zones. I can't get any other loot advances from the first 3 zones now but I can't progress in the others. Waaagghhh!! =)

That is the same progress as me. Try Ossuary: Ressonance of Malice as your next zone. Named 3 can be a bit of a gear check, but just stick with it. If you haven't already, make sure you have as high of resists as you can.

Everyone is at least 120k now and I"m just starting to get a few 130k. First boss in Resonance drops some nice ears.

That's a horrible fight, basically just zerging it. I noticed that one of the mobs spawns around the corner from the camp spot when it depops and the other pops in the room. You can target these mobs when they pop over there and get agro back. Not sure if you noticed that.

As you say you got bilge on farm, I just wondered what gear/team you got?.
I tried it for the first time yesterday, with my Sk/war/mys/dir/swash/coer all with roughly 143K resists and fair enough the old 4 green potent and some 95 raid gear, I havn't seen anything yet that seems an upgrade all the sig quested stuff looks worse IMO, and I couldn't do the second name in there. It was killing my swash/coer and my dirge mainly, then.. now either the sig quested stuff is secretly better and I have not seen it or I'm missing something else, the first name was easy but disappointed at failing at the second.
I tried using BJ's script and I think I used it correctly they seem to move in ok,
I opened BJscript on all chars, opened the panel on tank camp spotted all then seleted the name in panel and started..

any tips would be greatly appreciated

The way I have to kill the first two named in Blidgewaters is by running the script by manually playing my warden. For my group setup (which has only 100k-115k resists so far) it's all about the group heal timing. Once you get the timing down to cycle your group heals you can stay pretty much topped off. If I let the bots do it all they just constantly spam the heals and it only takes one miscue to get behind. I'm sure there's some tweaking of profiles that needs to be done but I can kill the first two that way every time. Group is Zerker/Dirge/Brig/Coer/War/Inquis

The new gear is better due to the massive amounts of mitigation. Yes your DPS will initially go down, but you will survive. Dead DPS does no DPS. I changed all of my characters except my tank from 4 Gem Potent to 0 Gem Blue Gear and for everyone except my scouts I went with the Max HP version. More HP/Mitigation/Resists at the beginning of the expansion will help you go further. As I get better geared I'll ease off a bit on the defensiveness.

I just kept farming until I had all toons wearing blue armour with 4 gems. I swapped out old gear right away, as BJC said, you will lose DPS but you will survive more, my DPS is a bit rubbish it always has been but my survivability is good, that's why I can't progress now as I'm failing the DPS checks in the higher zones.

I ran my main group through Castle Highhold and it seemed fairly easy, however they are in gemmed out blue armor and 140k resists, however i ran my alt group thru yesterday and can't get past Shograth. They are ~125k resists and mostly raid gear from last xpac. I'm running BJ movement. Within 30 secs into the fight, Shograth spawns 5,10 even up to 15 adds and the group eventually wipes. Toons are apparently hitting the wrong add, but it is impossible to determine what is going on that quickly.

I checked the BJScripts site, but the strat is not posted yet. So far, I've been letting the script do all the work and have been trying to figure out what to do, but I am at a loss.

Is this just a gear fail (since my other group has been killing easily) or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Yes, this is a gear fail. It's a shitty fight where you have a percent chance every 20 seconds per person with the curse to spawn an add. It's luck really. Sometimes you only get a few adds, other times you get a ton. I'll be working over the next few weeks on refining the strats in Highhold, but I wouldn't hold your breath on making some of these any more noob frirendly. This expansion has quite a few "do it perfect or we'll wipe you" encounters.

On that last fight in highhold. I run bjs script, but pause the bot on my tank and flip the mob and just tank it manually, that way he's the only person who gets the mana drain. I don't run an enchanter, and even with 2 healers getting that cure right away, my group will wipe to the mana drain just a minute or two into the fight if I don't turn him.

You are going to have difficulties further into AoM without an enchanter.
