Clean win7 isx locking up. Ama's updates installed!

First off all I'd like to point out I've d/l and installed both of Ama's new files that fix isxeq2 since the "big" patch the other day.

Now here's my problem, I just did a clean install of win7 64bit yesterday. Previously I'd been using XP 32bit. Got everything installed without many issues, nothing that wasn't easily worked out anyway, however when I run the ext isxeq2 command the while eq2 client and innerspace locks up and I have to end it via the task manager.

I'd like to point out that eq2 works fine both via the patcher (long way) and bypassing it. Also if I remove the startup from innerspace ( as per the tutorial page that makes it auto run ext isxeq2) it again works fine. But when I manually run ext isxeq2, it locks up again.

So it is only when the ext isxeq2 command is run that the whole thing locks up.

I used it fine in XP, I followed the instructions to do the setup, but I did copy the innerspace folder across from my backup, which is only a few days old (just before the soe patch).

Again I have installed both ama's files, I only installed the .dll after the first time it didn't work, hoping that would fix it.

I have also ran the permissions .exe and disabled firewall/antivirus for the innerspace folder.

The only thing I haven't done, and this may sound stupid is update innerspace via the SVN. again the files I copied are only a few days old and were working fine before the patch.

The only reason I didn't update them btw was because it was 3am and I was up for work at 7, so yea forgive me on that if that is the issue.


Any help would be great, and sorry for any grammar/punc/layout I'm on my iPhone at work!

are you running innerspace as administrator?

I'm pretty sure I did try that since it seems you have to run everything as admin on it. It was 3.30am though so maybe I fucked that bit up. I'll test it when I get back. You on about right-click run as admin? Or will I be able to change it in the propeties/compatabilty window and be fine aswell?

ok to update, tried the admin thing, still locks up on me. After asking in IRC i've done numerous other things such as checking .NET. reinstalling fully. download a .dll and the sub box popped up, i entered the correct details but it said it wasnt working for me for some reason and i had to do it manually. I followed the manual instructions through and when i came to edit the xml, my details where already inside it.

The problem still persists. Anymore ideas please?



In the process of reinstalling everything to c:Games folder as opposed to the program files/program files (x86) folder. will report soon!

In my quest to solve an issue I was having with ISXDK v32, I recently re-installed win7-64, patched, installed my gfx drivers.
I then installed eq2 (copied pak and music folders to speed this up).
I then installed innerspace, patched, got directx that was asked for.
I then installed isxeq2 via the exe.

That's about as bare as a system can be.

The problem I was having (eq2 crash) went away. It all works lovely.

I then pointed that innerspace at my old eq2 folders - same old problem.

Maybe this will help you. long story short, fresh install should work fine on Win7 64.
