COA with EQ2Bot

OK, looking for suggestions on this. Group 6 toons, and start going through COA. Kill first 6 named easy, no issues. Get to 7th and/or 8th named, and then something strange starts. I start the fight, and some of the toons (different ones .. sometimes healers, sometimes DPS, sometimes support) simply stand there and don't fight/engage. I've looked at the logs and ACT. They are not stiffled, feared, rooted, stunned, etc. They simply don't engage and start their combat sequences. Usually it is 1-2 toons in the group of 6. I've switched them around to different computers too .. does not make a difference. I've even brought them in close to the tank to see if it is a range issue, and it's not. Has anyone else seen this happen? Thanks for any suggestions.

This has been reported a few times on named encounters.

I simply haven't been able to recreate it, and I don't have all 6 of my toons high enough to do CoA, however I have botted many classes in there with no issue.

Can you give me an idea of classes it is for sure happening on, and can you confirm you've not selected to ignore *ANY* encounter types in the options tab?

Thats how I run, and I'm not seeing it, I assume ignore grey is causing these nameds to goof, or possibly some other combination of settings.

I'ld like to get this fixed, but if I can't recreate it, I can't discover whats causing it.

I can 100% assure you I have no kinds of encounter types checked to ignore ... and all toons do their jobs fine until I hit those named. The classes I have seen this happen to include Wiz, Troub, and Templar. It is totally hit or miss ... sometimes one will not respond, sometimes 2, and I can see no pattern as to which toon won't run. I was wondering if it was a level thing ... those mobs are 80 I think .. the ones before are 78-79 or so. It's just so weird .. one attempt the wiz will do fine, the next she just stands there. Very frustrating .. cause I should be able to beat the last guy with the toons I have. The other thing I've seen is that sometimes if I manually fire off a spell on a toon who is standing there, that seems to get them to engage. This works about 50% of the time, so it's not foolproof either. Let me know if there are other things you want me to try in terms of settings. I'm making a run at least once a day.

Just throwing in my 2cents.

I have "bots not working" happen to me in the following situations:

1) Main tank and/or main assist dies
* Fix: check / uncheck / check the boxes for MT and MA.

2) When there are other mobs with the same name as someone in the group, for instance Unrest when the doppgangers pop
* Fix; None, have to kill the dopplenganger or they are bugged

I dont know if either of these are occurring in COA (I have yet to go there) but these two situations do happen to me in other areas.

Yes, certain classes have a problem with the MT/MA dies.

You can reselect the values, or for me, i just restart the script on those classes. I see it ALL the time on the troub.

I had this happen in CoA last night as well. It affect my 74 swashy, 78 defiler and 78 dirge. I also had a 80 troub 78 bruiser and 78 warden but the last 3 seemed to work fine on the last few named. Only the first three totally went wonky on the last 2 named. I dont recall the the 3rd to last being an issue, but he wasnt as hard and I wasnt paying attention lol.

I had defiler on preward and it would only do group and when it tried single target it would say target not found. I tried restarting, unchecking and rechecking mt/ma and rechoosing mt/ma. I chalked it up to weird lag cause I wasnt aware of other running into same blurp.

I'll keep an eye out here to see if anything else comes up to possible kick those toons butts in gear!

Kitt,

Get with me in IRC sometime, I would like to know the names of these bots, so I can compare against partial matching with anything in zone.

My defiler has been to CoA about a dozen times as a bot, and has never not functioned as intended.

If it helps, I've done COA about 3 dozen times with templar, dirge, guard, defilerand brigand; I have never seen a serious problem, but I also don't die.

The only thing that really bothers me is bots are unable to tell if something was dispelled. For instance during those last 2 fights I hafta keep recasting dirge buffs manually everytime a dispel goes off.
