COE / GU66 Profiles

I think my toons could get more out of them. I am running a zerker, inquisitor, mystic, brigand, dirge and assassin.

Does anyone have some they would be willing to share? I've been using dudesters versions, and they seem to do pretty good, but checking the parse threads I see some numbers I'm not even remotely close to :( I have used Rodent's and Eyedea's Assassin profiles but their parses are just extremely blowing mine away. This is my beggaring =)

Thanks in advance!

You're comparing some of the best geared bots parse to yours.

#1 thing to parsing is gear, gear, and more gear.
After that, I'd say being properly adorned/reforged, properly buffed etc.
Then finally the profile. Most profiles are relatively close to the same (other than... 'odd' balls). You can find tweak them for a bit extra improvement, but overall, most profiles aren't where you gain your dps, that's in your gear.

Which you actually said yourself.. you're using Rodent's and Eyedea's assassin profile, but you aren't seeing their numbers, so what is different? Group setup/adorns, reforge, buffs, and gear.

Overall people seem to get this idea that their "187" stat gear is so close to the "196" and "203" stat gear, they should get the same results. It's not... It's not close.

I have also been struggeling with the low parses vs some of the MEGA parses on the forums.
And i will admit that as i have been swapping out 160 gear for 187 i have noticed a maked improvement in DPS.

But if what you are saying is true that the 10 - 20 stat improvement gear does not fully reflect the effect of the blue stats / resists / mitigations.
Then that would explain why there is such a huge gap between parses (where a 6 man team does more than my 12 man raid :( )

Now to find a way to get my hands on some of the Uber gear :)

1) I'm wondering if your group DPS wouldn't shoot up if you dropped the brigand for a coercer. I don't know. I've never seen a group without an enchanter before (because my main is an enchanter, and I always build groups with enchanters). The coercer would give 96 DPSmod to your group, would give better hate to your berserker, would dehate your assassin, would make your mystic's heals much more effective, and very importantly, would give a huge DPS boost to your assassin via Enchanted Vigor.

2) I kind of disagree a little with Kannkor, as I believe casting order is very important. I think Kannkor's comment was directed more at people who have a good understanding of each class and the general ability set in EQ2. But reading and participating in these forums for a year now -- and based off my own experiences learning new classes as I went from 1 to 6 to 12 to 18 toons -- I've seen a lot of people (including myself) just not get the basics of a class. And thus their casting order is flat out "bad".

So when you look at your 6 toons, do you feel you know all 6 well? If not, your casting order is wrong. And that's ok -- much of the fun of ogre is learning new classes and perfecting new casting orders! Making a team work together is ridiculously fun. It's also instant gratification. One or two small changes can have a big impact.

3) As kannkor said, make sure you're buffing correctly. This cannot be understated. If you want, list in this thread all the buffs you're casting on other toons in your group, and tell us who they're being casted on. We might find mistakes, and one or two buff fixes makes a big difference.

I have noticed my numbers jumping quite a bit as I've gotten POW gear for all my toons. I think my biggest problem is I only really get the Assassin and Inquisitor, and learning the zerker fairly quickly. I'm still fairly new to EQ2 so I know most of it is my lack of knowledge on creating a good profile. Buffs are below.

Inquisitor:
Shield Ally and Inquest on Tank

Mystic:
Premonition on Self and Tank.
Ancestral Avatar on Tank
Ancestry on Mystic currently, ive had on Assassin and Tank before seeing minimal change either way.
Bolster on Tank.
Ritual of Alacrity on Assassin.

Brigand:
Thieves Guild on Assassin
Safe house on Mystic

Dirge: (running Songsters luck over Nox and hate gain)
Battle Cry on Assassin
Gravitas bounces between both inq and mystic

Thanks for the replies everyone =)

Bolster on assassin and ancestry
Bolster on Assassin for sure. (Assuming you are right side Prestige specced on the Mystic. Otherwise Not going to make a major difference either way.)
Ancestry isn't going to do a whole lot for an assassin. Personally I prefer it on my tank/Mystic.
Other alternative for it would be the dirge. Increased chances of Dead Calm, Percussion of stone etc.

Yeah, that 1k agi won't make a difference at all...

I also think dead calm is capped on trigger chance
