ISXRI Beta Information

The CombatBot portion of ISXRI which has been promised for some time now is available to ALL for Beta Testing. More information to come as beta progresses and as always you can get help at #ISXRI (This is all tied in with the ISXRI Beta)

First off to start CombatBot you need simple type the command CB in your console. For new users this will get the process started. if you have no AbilityCheck files it will pop up asking if you would like to run AbilityCheck, you need to say yes to this and wait until it is complete (Progress indicated in the console) when it is done it will attempt to locate a Profile Save File, if not found it will download a functional default from ISXRI website. these profiles in most cases will do just fine, BUT if your accustomed to your ogre profiles and can not live without them, have no fear there is an import option, simply type:
CB ImportOgre
into your console and CombatBot will import your ogre save file from your ogrebot folder (if they are in the default location under Scripts/EQ2OgreBot/Save)

then afterwards you should be up and running, the maximize button will bring up the heart of CombatBot's UI where you can navigate the frames by pressing their corresponding button on the left side. I know its a lot of information and can be very overwhelming for the new unexperienced users, I have tried to make things as familiar as possible in regards to what's already out there to make anyone's move as seamless as possible. As beta progresses there will be more and more documentation and eventually a wiki to help explain the inner workings of your new bot. Until then feel free to jump on #ISXRI and ask questions, or simply post here in the ISXRI and CombatBot forums on ISXGames, or our forums over at http://www.isxri.com/forums

Thanks everyone and I hope you all enjoy Beta Testing the Future of EQ2 Botting.

P.S. Remember post here on these forums any issues/suggestions/ or really anything at all related to CombatBot or even ISXRI. (At Least until we can get some entries in the Forge)

P.P.S. Although in Early Beta and a lot of work still needs to be done, Don't underestimate CombatBot's Ability, it has been used successfully to clear All of AoM. Yes that's right Even Construct ( MANY MANY Times :p ).

These classes seem to be without cast stacks (or most things really) when downloaded from isxri:

Zerker
Bruiser
Necromancer
Paladin
Wizard

Not sure if this is intentional or not.

Where are you tracking bugs for CombatBot? The forge (which has posts from others, no response from devs) seems to be specific to ISXRI.

For Example, adding an item to the cast stack, checking Requires Item to be Equipped (RIE) doesn't add RIE to the item, and doesn't check that it's equipped.

any idea if you will have a script for masters chosen soon?
I heard the last named in that zone is not 100% scriptable, but i will look into coding the whole zone minus the last named if people still want that? I know theres new zones out now, so not sure if peeps still run it?

yes, we're running it, since the ethereal quests often require it.

On CombatBot how do you get it to ignore number of mobs and cast AOE spells even on single target fights? Dagger Storm for instance - if I put it high up on my cast list, Dagger Storm shows nothing about number of mobs before casting on the cast stack options (just says 'Require Max Increments' as an option), but then it doesn't cast with casting debug saying too few targets. Or another ability - Blinding Dust - even if 'Skip Area of Effect # check' is enabled, it still seems to skip it with too few targets. On the 'Settings' tab I've tried turning on 'Skip AE checks' and 'Skip encounter checks' and sometimes that seems to work, but then it seems on encounters with multiple mobs it actually stopped casting then (or I'm missing something else that is changing). Ideally there would be an option to completely ignore 'too few targets' and just cast if the ability is ready.

Edit: Hmm, not sure the circumstances causing it - if I end all scripts, unload extension, start it back up, it will then start casting them again on another attempt at the same encounter. If I can narrow down any specific thing causing it I'll update this post.
