computer performance issue

This PC is a bit dated, I used to 5 box on it for a year or so. At any rate the board is a Gigabyte x48-dq6 with a Q9550 quad core processor & 8 gigs of ram (dominator if I recall correctly). I never had any major issues running 5 accounts in the past but I just did a full clean install of the OS (xp 64bit). the issue I'm running into now & I dropped the 5th account from it just for testing purposes & ran each session on 1 core using isboxer, core 1 & 2 show max usage in the task manager while cores 3 & 4 show it using around 50%. So sessions 1 & 2 are unplayable choppy and getting 2 fps while sessions 3 & 4 are around 30 fps and run fine. Anyone have any idea what could be going wrong here? The computer seems to run fine with anything else on it I am only seeing the cores (1-2) get used to max when running isboxer.

I'd check the affinity of each session. In Task Manager, Processes tab, right click each EverQuest2.exe process and choose "Set Affinity" to see which core it's bound to... sounds like you've doubled up sessions on a specific core.
