Dungeon Crawl setting on EQ2bot

Please correct me if I am wrong. To set up a path in EQ2bot, you must set it to Dungeon Crawl on the 'Main' tab, then go to 'Navigation' tab and select this option again. Once there Start Pather, select Add POI (name it Start) run your path, then select Create Finish, then Save Navigation.

I did this and it worked for awhile. Now when I try and create a path the bot just says "Moving to Start" then kind of turns and flickers between 'Moving to Start and Moving to Finish' without actually going anywhere.

I have deleted all the Nav paths in the EQ2Bot Nav folder and tried to re-do the paths, but I get the same situation.

I have also updated SVN and copied all of those files over the Innerspace folder. No luck there either.

Am I missing something obvious in the EQ2Bot file to fix this issue?

You shouldn't have to make a POI named start I don't think. I use DC fairly often, and I never make a POI named start.

Thanks for the hints and clues. I have since figured it out.
I would love to know how to use it. I have followed all the bits and pieces on the forums but it still doesn't add any points and Move to Start doesn't work either.

Figured out my issue with Dugeon crawl. I couldn't get the pather system to add points.

I had the bot started when I was trying to add them.

I am having the same problems. I tried creating a path through the EQ2bot interface as well as EQ2Navigation. On both instances, when I start the bot, it just sits there and the status quickly moves through the points.

All my key mappings are set to default. Any help would be appreciated.

How did you create the path? I had similar issues until I figured out I was making the path wrong.

I finally got it to work late last night thanks to the following post:

Everfrost, pilgrim valley.

Open the bot on the beach away from all agro. Selected Dungeon Crawl on main tab, go to navigation tab, choose I think 'Dungeon Crawl' (NOT CAMP MODE). Select region size ~20.

Add Start point.
Move thru the canyon (invis for no agro). At each turn add a poi turn1, turn2, turn3.
Near the end (before the area that requires jumping) add a finish point.

Save.

Click move to start, watch it transverse the path. All looks good, start the bot.

Set a pull spell, and set scan range to ~35 for that area.

Thats all there is to it.

The additional points are absolutely necesary, but having them will insure the bot actually travels all the way to that point rather than hopping to overlaying regions.

Thanks anyway bjCasey!

The problem I have is: it runs for about 30 - 45 min and then it will just run through the path. It ignores all mobs and then eventually dies once it returns (or dies if it gets stunned)... Any thoughts how to correct this?

That can happen if the bot gets it stuck in it's head that it has agro on something it can't get too. Try lowering your range, and make sure your path doesn't come close to walls, rocks, low brush, or tiny insects or the like that might have mobs on the other side.
