In one of the threads it was mentioned that ISXEQ2 users may want to use "silver" (free) accounts and then pay for the equipment slots.

Did they get rid of "silver"? When I go to purchase the accounts "silver" isn't listed.

Is "silver" still an offer?

If you had a previous live account with everquest (ie a char on any server BUT Freeport), you were automatically given silver as a thank you.

*edit* is there any eta for isx being up? I am just curious not being impatient

Odd, seems to be back wards for me. My Freeport toons are unlocked and my other server is locked (I copied to Freeport).

Mouse over the character's little lock next to the name and it will tell you why it's locked (be it class/race or over character limit of 4 for silver)

That would probably be because you used your Freeport chars last.... if you have any locked chars the ones that stay unlocked are the ones that have been used most recently

The "lock" says race/class but its open for Freeport and no, we haven't played the Freeport characters since DoV part2 was released then we swapped back to the live server... I'll let my wife sort it out though. *shrug*

Character copied over to Freeport (with the $25 copy fee they had before) were flagged to work on Freeport without having to buy that race/class. Now that F2P is on the other servers though you'll need to actually buy the race and class pack for your character in order to play him.

I think this update will probably take Amadeus days even, I'd be surprised if he had it out even tomorrow. Has to be a massive amount of changes to the way the game engine works.

Silver, class, and race are account wide. Copied characters that you paid $25 to copy were given exemptions so they aren't locked out even if you haven't bought the right to access specific classes/races. The characters that were on Live and never copied however are subject to the restrictions if you aren't a paid subscriber.
