hello all

well things having been running fine with windows 7 64bit ultimate apart from the following...so any tips, pointers or general help would be much appreciated

When i run eq2botcommander on my main pc it returns the message that it has connected to my 2nd PC it fails to run anything on that machine.

I've checked the unique name plus the incoming box is ticked, and I've also made sure that the fire wall is allowing this to pass but still no joy...any ideas?

many thanks

Having similar problems with eq2botcommander. I have a mixture of winXP and Vista systems and not able to get a connection on any of my 3 computers.
I am able to play the game with eq2bot on them all just not able to "connect" using commander.
How did you ensure your firewall was passed? I am using Norton and went in and gave isxeq2 free run on my system but no luck.
Any thoughts?

Well if ISX is set to allow incoming connections and is restarted and you can't establish the connection I would wager it's a firewall issue.

There really isn't any reason to run a firewall inside your house as your router is a firewall. Home firewall's are more for people who directly connect there PC to the internet with no router.

Also note most antivirus packages come with firewalls that could also be blocking it from working. When I reconfigured eq2botcommander I tested it at my house with Vista 64 and 32 bit editions, as well as XP. All with no antivirus firewall installed and no windows firewall enabled and worked like a charm.

That worked for 2 of the 3 systems. Still one not working on it. I have innerspace as free reign, firewall turned off, and the directions for eq2botcomm working. Same thing that has been done on the other 2 computers. Any thoughts on what else can be done to get it working on the third?
Also is there a set up for 5 boxed comps? Would be great if it could be made for up to 5 extra botted comps as that should theoretically be the max number with a boxed group. People that have smaller groups could then make the decision not to set up the extra bot slots. Would be very helpful :)
Thanks again for your help
