EQ2Craft Rare Reaction Arts

Evening all, was using craft earlier (v 6.1) and noticed it missed one of the rare reaction / events. when I looked into the ReactionArts.xml file I noticed that many of the skills had the same number associated with them. ie. Tailor's Insight had same as Flawless Dexterity. I can fix the values, but do not know which is which.

Here is snipit from ReactionArts.XML to highlight what I mean (I cut out the other reactions except the rare ones):

<Set Name="Light Armoring">
... <Setting Name="Tailor's Insight">1</Setting>
<Setting Name="Flawless Dexterity">1</Setting>
... <Setting Name="Favor of Innovation">2</Setting>
... </Set>


Any advice on a cross reference of rare reactions and the right skill to use so that I can fix my file? I looked and this is the same for 6.2 as well.

Compare the Icons of Reactions in your Spellbook.
You will see for each kind of crafting three Icons that will repeat all ten levels.
These numbers (1-3) are assigned to them.
So you can find out what reaction is missing.

In the reactionarts.xml, need to change Jeweler's Insight to be a '2' to match the Paradigm Shift Icon that comes up. I am continuing to keep my eye out for these as I see onese that miss.

The above is the correct setting for Flawless Dexterity in the ReactionArts.xml file.

PS. Is this something I should check in using SVN? or a small enough change that Blazer can just make it next time?

Because not every person is reading every post:
Just PM to Blazer if you find some errors.
So you can be sure that he knows about the error, and till now he corrected those errors.

You probably can't anyway. write access to the SVN repository is limited to the people that actually maintain these scripts, and have a login there.

Best to post the fix here (like you did) and possibly PM Blazer with it.

All three of these have been verified on the carpenter reactions. Finally got a Favor of Innovation the other night on my baby carpenter.

Greets all, I just started playing with ISXEQ2 (mainly to thumb my nose at my friends from EVE all playing vanguard)

Thanks for these. The latest SVN still doesn't seem to have any of these changes...did Pygar drop the ball or something? :) I think the craft bot needs a new champion if Blazer's out of action...the new writ stuff has some minor bugaboos that weren't ironed out, and the door thing.

No one can touch the holy craftbot but Blazer and Amadeus, thats why the wont open door bug has existed for, um 6 weeks now?

The craftbot source is included in the dll, and you and I don't have the ability to change it. More so, the events associated with the tradeskill station aren't posted on the wiki for you and I to be able to write our own craft (atleast I can't find them).

I've had some connectivity issues, but will update the reaction arts today.

That was my understanding, but thanks for spelling it out. Hopefully Amadeus can find the time or somebody he trusts to fix it up a bit.

Flawless Cuts -- Woodworker middle rare event is incorrect in reactionarts.xml on SVN (as of 05/28/07)


The following two rare reactions are confirmed to be the correct ones:

<Set Name="Woodworking">
<Setting Name="Woodworker's Insight">2</Setting>
<Setting Name="Flawless Cuts">1</Setting>

I confirmed Flawless Hardening is the below setting, Favor of Innovation is *not* confirmed, but is missing from the ReactionArts.Xml that was just patched:

<Set Name="Weaponry">
<Setting Name="Flawless Hardening">1</Setting>
<Setting Name="Favor of Innovation">2</Setting>



The below is correct, it was the value I was using in my local file prior to being patched (*Edit - confirmed to be correct):

<Set Name="Heavy Armoring">
<Setting Name="Flawless Strikes">1</Setting>
