EQ2Craft - Writ trouble

I don't want to put this in the bug report section just yet because I suspect it is something I am doing wrong.

Ok, I go into an instance in Freeport and set up my guy to do some writs. He expertly runs (now that I figured out I need to be in 1st person view) around and buys the components and whatnot, but after visiting the broker I have a problem:

Instead of running to his crafting station he stands at the broker and tries to craft, giving me a "you must be near an engraving desk to do this" message.

Anyone have an idea as to why this might be?

I'm not sure, i just had the same trouble with my armorer in Qeynos.

But my jewler in FP works almost perfect, except sometimes the item creator counter goes up ( like it thinks its completing items) , but nothing is being crafted, or it shorts itself materials somehow. I do know that if one thing is wrong it gets buggy, and there is no stop crafting button, so i shut it down and restart it again.

My sage competes a few things, then tries to turn in a partially done writ.

Almost like the program only likes a few tradeskill professions.

I know this wasn't any help, but your not the only one having issues =)

Do you have "Use only currently targeted station" checked?

Regarding engraving desk.... Does your pc name, your pet name, or any actor around you match partially on the word 'desk'? (though I think a fix for this was made already).

Same with the armorer... I found because a character had the name Forge in it, the armorer would assume he was already at the forge and not run down to them...

Other than those 2 things, no idea what could be wrong as I've used the bot on literally every TS class.

It was the "use only targeted crafting station" flag that was doing it. Good call, Pygar!

Of course, now I have a new problem where while processing the writ recipes it invariably gets stuck on the third recipe.

the stuck on the recipe is the program not being able to parse the quest text, usually there is some mismatch. do a craft -debug and run just a single writ, if it hangs processing go into your Innerspace/Extensions directory and open the file craft. Make a new thread with your chars class and copy and paste that information so it can be looked at and tweaked.

If you read the release notes and info on the board you will see how you can give it your own custom quick fix in the customwrits.xml file
