going to go out on a limb here...

02-28-2007?

However the best answer is, the last day you loaded the game and it forced you to patch. That also happens to be the day of the update, and the date the extension is labeled with...

Aye, that sounded like what I needed.

So I went here:
http://isxeq2.twonk.net/binaries/autoupdated/

I found this:
200702280700-EverQuest2.exe.zip 28-Feb-2007 07:16 4.8M

But the Modified time of the extracted file is not the 28th:
Monday, February 26, 2007, 7:09:12 PM

No worries, I was at work and trying to help out my wife. Home now and going to get it working.

Thanks for the quick reply

When you download the Everquest2.exe where do you unzip the file to?

What I do is extract the EverQuest2.exe and then rename the file to EverQuest2.is.exe and then set the IS to run THAT new file instead of the original. Then I can use IS or WinEQ2 or just SOE launcher.

But yes, goes in \EverQuestII\ directory along with the original EverQuest2.exe file.

Thanks bob. I had already tried to install to my everquest 2 directory and it wouldn't let me. Thats why I asked. I had to restart my computer before it would let me, I guess my comp thought someone was still using the program. But thanks for being cool about it.

There has been a problem I noticed lately of everquest2.exe processes still running after having shutdown the application. Look in Task Master next time and just end the everquest2.exe process.

It may be a isxeq2 or a IS or a SOE problem, have not looked into it or reported it so don't know.

Hmm, thats likely related to why when I /camp desktop and start a new IS session, it increments...

Ie I'm in is1 sesison, /camp desktop thus ending that session, then start a new eq2 session and I'm in is2 now, even though there is no is1. I'll have to pay closer attention to some everquest2.exe out there running someplace...

This started with one of the recent patches to innerspace though.
