Why 5 writ limits? Cause the authors of the scripts were finding obvious 24/7 bots in TS instances all over norath. Anyone with half a clue could recognize all these bots, and it wouldn't take much heuristic work by SoE to start identifying and banning them.
Since a few people couldn't 'play' responsibly, for the better of the community a writ threshold was created.
You will find, the authors in this community do not condone or encourage extended unattended game play. This is what gets people banned, this is what brings attention to our products, and is exactly what we prefer to avoid.
These products exists to automate and simplify repetitive tasks (broker scripts, craft scripts) and to automate multi-box play (eq2bot, questbots, etc). They do not exist to play the game for you.
