FarSeas Instance crafting, dying alot.

I've got a couple low level (~25) characters i've been tradeskilling and got to 69 tailor.
I send them into the Farseas daily group instance and even with rolling pin or mixing spoon, when they try using the forge, they freeking die every few combines if I do it using craft.
Anyone have any tips? I'm still newish, so it's still frustrating to watch a char die over and over.

I checked again, I believe I may have mixed up the 2 chars, and made them make the other char's item on accident, instead of their main technique.
Bringing a low (~20lvl) char who is a 75 tailor into a far seas instance and making him do forge tradeskills equals a death every 5 minutes pretty much, if you use craft.

Char lvl 80 with 80 alchemy doin the forge might make it for a couple hours without dying.

and this is with rolling pins, the stupid dunce cap and the tinkered skill items.

The Far Sea's instances have you using skills you don't have above a crafter level 10, for things that are level 70 combines. You are naturally going to fail a lot more on them, and thus progress an item slower.

As for the dying, well, the reaction arts are level 70, so a critical failure on them is going to do a fair amount of damage to a level 20. The only way to fix this would be if craft was somehow able to never miss a reaction counter.

Yea, i dont know if it was just lag or what, but, i noticed that craft was spamming the 2nd (or 5th) button, which is the 'something but increase chance of fail', so i guess that had alot to do with it, but, mainly, i saw the events happen and craft was so often spamming something else, to cause the event to not get countered.

I wasn't able to 'figgure it all out', but, I did manage to brute force come across some threshold numbers that work perfectly for me now. When I tell it to make 16 of something, it freeking makes 16 of them. not 3, then dies and 4 more and dies again, or 8 of them if i'm using a high level character with some real armor.

Seems to be slightly (ie not noticeably in the long run) slower, but, I really appreciate all the input and assistance you guys have offered. thanks very much.

Thanks again, for awhile there, i felt like some determined hoodlum that kept waking up in the hospital cause his meth lab kept blowing up i guess.

Would you mind sharing these thresholds, I'd like to stop dying at the forge as well in these instances.
