I've been with ogre for more than 6 months and I've been struggling for awhile with our parse. My current group set-up is Sk,mystic,inq,dirge,coercer,bstlord. We only do about 250-350k.
I've tried downloading the profiles from the wiki and trying them, different AA set-up's, and betraying some of the classes. All together, nothing has been working out. If anyone has any tips or could let me use their profiles that would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

One of the issues you might be having is gear. People post amazing numbers of what they can do on a parse or zone for their bots and the bot profile is only one of the pieces in the DPS puzzle.


A important question that goes along with DPS is what zones can you complete? (and hence how good is your gear) Have you been able to clear UD and farm complete sets of faction gear for your bots?


Depending on the quality of your gear and what content you are doing, 250-350k can be anything from amazing DPS or poor DPS.

I will second that. Gear in my opinion is a huge factor in dpsing these days. I have tweaked the casting order on the default profiles on the wiki to match my play style but getting the right gear and reforging/adorning things for each class makes the biggest difference. Also get Expert/Master abilities, and or spells.

The best profile in the world wont help unless you have the gear to back it up.

AA/Reforging/Adorns are so important people don't realize.

To test, I did this the other day. Took 2 monks, nearly identically geared. One is spec'ed full tanking. HP adorns, respec for HP, etc etc. The other, is DPS spec, CB instead of HP adorns etc.

Again, identical gear. What was the difference in DPS? Nearly double. Yes, double.


Without the bigger picture, as people have said, gear/aa/adorns etc, it's very difficult to say if your DPS is low, or high. Please note: I'm not asking to see your gear/aa/adorns, because that's mad time consuming when I should be adorning my own toons

To truly maximize DPS, you'll want to learn some about each class you play, and spend some time tweaking them. Their profiles, their AAs, adorns, reforging, etc. Read about them, find the right choices.

Every single bot in my group has hardmode/raid, very few em pieces. We all are fully adorned and experted/mastered.

I've farmed UD and gotten full faction gear for them. I can clear all of EM in ss. Hard mode, I can only kill the beserking defender. I havn't been able to clear ST yet either, (the named with the adds wipes me around 20%). To me, our DPS is poor and I can't figure out why.

The phrase 'my group has hardmode/raid' is difficult to understand. Are you saying you have hardmode raid gear? Are you referring to HM drunder? HM skyshrine? HM Velious? Hardmode group instances?

Load ACT, see what each of your toons are doing DPS wise, pick one, and see if you notice it doing anything 'wrong'. Is it spamming a buff? Is it casting 10 debuffs before nuking on trash?

Are you using the beastlord profile put up by Ali? Its a few threads down. Is your beastlord mastered in how many warders, weapons? Post a parse if you can minus names of course.

This weekend I'll post a few of my profiles - my BL alone does 360k in faction gear+. We're doing 1.2mil on tank and spank fights. (Guard, Inq, Mystic, BL, Dirge & Coer)

Simple things that slow your BL down are:
- Selecting Advantages for him to use in Ogre but not having them present on the BL advantage bar. (I ran two BLs and one didn't have two of the advantages present on the bar - the DPS difference was about 40k)
- Not making a weakness the #1 priority on the CA list (Feral Rending is the best choice, imo and mathmatical deductions).
- Make sure that both Ogre and your BL are in feral stance. (I have a Feral Stance and a Spirit Stance and when I load Ogre, Ogre defaults to Feral. This could be a problem if you didn't manually turn off spirit stance - your toon wont cast anything but his own CAs)

Buffs play a big part as well. Are you maximizing dps buffs on beastlord to get the most from it? RoA/Ancestry/BC/EV/Link/Inquest? (And Avatar/Bolster if tank doesn't need to survive)

I Have Challenge mode gear from Skyshrine and EM raid gear from skyshrine. Sorry for the confusion. None spam any buffs, and I'll have to check ACT.

Yes, I am using his profile. Certainly an upgrade from the default.

I checked all of this, and he has everything the way it should.

I RoA the beastlord, Battle Cry is set to be on him, Inquest for sure, I will try to bolster my beastlord instead of the tank. EV/Link/Ancestry, I'll start putting them on him.

I designed the profile around my beastlords, which have just about best in slot gear in every slot and very high stats. (max cast/reuse/etc.) Also, it's based around having pretty much the best buff stacking available for the beastlord in group. So if you're running around in hardmode heroic/em raid gear, you're going to need to adjust cast order slightly to fit reuse times best tbh.

Not sure if this worked. This is my beastlord profile with both spirit and feral stances. Just change the server name and your toons name in the file and put it in your saved files.

Also, I find that the Dire and Enchanted warders put out the highest dps. Not sure if someone wants to contradict me, but my beastlords are pulling off 400k dps in faction+ gear.
