Is it correct that you can type ext isxeq2 at the console and auto update isxeq2 or do you need to go to http://www.isxgames.com/isxeq2/Acquisition_Step2.html
and download isxeq2 again an reinstall?

Just wait for the update... You are correct, type: ext isxeq2 and it will automatically update, however as of right now we are waiting for the update to be completed... Last time it was updated before midnight, so just keep trying every hour or so...
