Forced Patch Jan1309

Just so new users and devs are aware, there is a forced patch today, so ISXEQ2 is not working.

For users - it will likely be updated soon, don't worry, and don't flood the forums with zomg not working! posts. :)

They don't always change just the EXE. It would be best for you to run the patcher, let it update everything, and only use twonk as a backup for that rare occasion where they patch twice in a day and you missed downloading the right version.

Not sure if I follow you correctly. I use twonk to get an exe file and I normally update the files using Tortoise SVN. Log in and let the patcher run. The only thing that has come up for me is that I need the Dec. 9 file . I tried to use the Jan 13th one and same thing happened.

So is the Jan 13th the one I need? Is this working for you?

I can't make it past the login with this file its telling me I need. If you see what I am doing wrong please let me know. Its what I have done since I started using this program.

Your version of EverQuest2.exe does not match this build of ISXEQ2.
This particular build of ISXEQ2 was designed to work with the **FIRST** EverQuest2.exe that was patched
on December 9, 2009. If you have installed ISXEQ2 for the first time, then you should download
this version of EverQuest2.exe from http://isxeq2.twonk.net/binaries/autoupdated/ and place it in your
EverQuest2 directory. PLEASE NOTE -- when you go to the website to retrieve the proper version of EverQuest2.exe,
make sure that you get the one with the correct date in the TIMESTAMP (ie, ignore the date that is in the file name.)

SOE forced a client update for Everquest 2 today. That means you load via launchpad and let it patch. Beyond that, you wait patiently for ISXEQ2 to be updated. My apologies for getting some grins at your (collective) expense.
