Is there a way to have gravitas cast on myself in the chain tab? I know I can do it in the priority tab and the dirge tab. But wanted to cast it on myself just before I cast RO.:)

No. I don't have any plans to add the ability to add a target to offensive tabs (Ca/named/chain).
