Ok so I'm not a nub to this and all, but I did take a break for a few months. Did everything like I remembered...tortoise..twonk...etc. No probs getting my subscription back. I have not changed anything on my pc...still on XP etc. Yet it's telling me the version I need is 7/31 which is fine so I dl'd it from twonk and unzipped it to my EQ2 directory, and it's still telling me I need the build from 7/31. Just kinda confused is all. Anyone having similar issues?

You need to make sure you grab the one that was patched on 7.31 ...not the one with 7/31 in the version number.
