I have searched Vanguard forums far and wide but no one has worked out how to trick Vanguard into letting you open two instances of the game at once.

Anyone ever successfully done it? Have any good ideas how?

(Btw: before anyone chimes in and says your comp will die, it wont, I play Vanguard and WoW at the same time and they run fine :p Im not looking for perfect frame rates, I just want to be able to run two clients at once. )

It's not possible. VG Devs would have to change the client for it to be possible, bug them.

There is a way to do this, but it is tedious.

Each windows login/user account can have an instance running, it appears to be testing its ability to start a new client by checking process IDs owned by the user.

The problem with this method is IS will only work inside the current user acct, and IS startup check isnt limited to the current user, so you have to use a renamed InnerSpace.exe
